Squee! :D Good call on the techs. Regarding the new countries - I understand they will not be present in the scenarios for obvious reasons, but will we be able to release them as puppets?

If you take the time to add them to "revolt.txt", then you can have a lot of new countries, yes.
If a any mod group will give us such a updated file that uses new country tags, we could also add it to the game.

Cool, thanks. :)

So, will you have an open beta? Will the game be released when it's ready, or when whoever prints your games decides it should be ready?

closed beta.
We will propably hire new beta testers or get some of the HOI2 beta testers to help us - i am still waiting for paradox on this.

Release date was Dec. 17

so you are aiming at being cristmas present of the year (sure is for me:D)

Just wait untill you get your hands on the real thing.... ;)

I have updated the first post with new info and cover!

Wow. This is very interesting news. I was not expecting this. I was hoping HOI 3 was going to be more of a direct extension of HOI 2. Now, while there are many similarities between the two, HOI 3 is definitely its own game. Even though it may have the potential to be a masterpiece, I had a four year love affair with the brilliance that is HOI 2 and I'm very reluctant to say goodbye.

HOI 2 is so good that I know I'll go back and play it at some point (just like I always go back and play some version of Civ every once in a while). Arsenal of Democracy sounds like a great excuse to do just that.

Sounds great. I'll be buying for sure.

Congrats on this!

Playing presently an Armagedon campaign (and enjoying it thoroughly!) I will be an happy customer of the final product.

Sorry if it is answered in other thread, but what is the release date?

...and also congrats to Paradox for its support for talented teams giving them a shot at professional game development.

P.S. - Don't forget the 1920*1200 resolution! ;)

As an extremely happy customer of Armageddon, I am really looking forward to this. The timing is nice, too. Happy Christmas for me...:D

PS, you mentioned that nuclear engines were now a ship brigade, can you put it on escorts? It always seemed particularly pointless to build nuclear capital ships because they could only steam 4300 km with the best escorts, anyways.
