Out of what Mike has listed I think these are the most important for fixes for now.


Description: The History meter position in the Diplomacy screen is not stored in saved games.
Status: Unverified

Description: The Corruption (Distance) government modifier is not working properly (a red mod is a bonus, not a penalty).
Status: Unverified

Description: The GarbageConsumers racial ability, when changed in the Game.xls file, does not work correctly (setting it to 70% actually means consuming 30% food).
Status: Unverified

Description: The percentToObtain value in the DATA_Victory worksheet of the Game Excel workbook is disregarded and a hard-coded 60% value is used instead.
Status: Unverified


Description: The Colonize fleet order should only be available if the fleet contains at least one colony ship equipped with a Colonization Module.
Status: Unverified

Description: The Invade System order should only be available if the fleet actually has a ship with a MAM and some battalions.
Status: Unverified


I think some of the other things are pretty minor. Like invading troops not using food. They are stealing it from the natives?

I have verified the last two.

The first I verified by building a custom designed colonization ship without a colonization module and gave them colonizing orders. They went and colonized when they don't have a conlonization module. How cool is that? It suddenly became cheaper to colonize my empire!!

I've also just invaded a system with a ship that had no MAM nor batallions. Lots of good that did me. I lost my ship by doing something so stupid. I don't think that is a bug. If your dumb enough to invade a place without any soldiers, good on ya'

The others I do not have enough experience with the game yet to test.

Why I wanted you involved for more of a balance, I figured 1st we would fix the aspects we both agree on and go from there. More detail in PM.

This will be interesting!! I had hoped someone at paradox had played our mods to help with decisions on stuff we don't agree on, there is always middle of the road if nothing else. Or possibly trade offs your way on this for my way on that, we will figure it out as we are both adults that are into this game.
Maybe voting by the players if they could be found??

My first recommendation would be to try and get Paradox to lower the price of this game significantly, for a week or so, and advertise on the forums. Try and get more people into this game. He might give free lunches, but money doesn't grow on Lor's.

Seriously, I have a few files already fixed (no modding), minor stuff really, but I'll send them to you when you're ready.
These fixes alone would be worth the patch IMO. Let's see if this time it's for real!

I will look at them and we will decide together what will be sent in for approval. Right now we are only doing whats in post 20 for now that has been approved by Paradox. We can discuss anything we want too, all our different ideas about how to fix stuff but they still will have to approve.
We are both going to have to compromise on some stuff and I hope you know that going in, I don't want any hard feelings if all your stuff isn't used and put in I'm sure most stuff will be used, I know you won't let me use all my ideas. Plus we will have a few people to help us decide on some issues.
