Aw, too bad. I always thought the start at any date thing was cool. Not that it will actually impact me much, since I almost always start at the earliest available date in every game.

I hope if they do different scenarios they take some time over them- look at mexico in the 1880 scenario and virtually every province has the exact same configuration of POPs...sloppy work really.
Hope they sort the warfare mechanics out too-especially for the WW1 (& beyond) timeframe.
Naval warfare needs a seeing too also.
