- Your weak fleet full of diamonds was attacked? Save your game and load it, attack screen is no longer there and your fleet has a good chance of escaping.
- Goods too cheap at home port? Unload to your Warehouse or stationary fleet of huge ships and wait until prices go up again to sell with maximum profits. Prices change once per year.
- AI took a port you want or which they shouldn't have? Take another port somewhere in piss-poor Africa and exchange it with AI for the one they hold, add some cash if they aren't willing to do so. This way instead of Spices you can make your enemy import Coffee.
- Can't take a city? Send a fleet of 5x Galleon or 5x Frigate, they almost always succeed. If they still fail, save and load since taking ports is very random.

-If you unsuccessful at capturing port send your fleet to close port resuply and imediatly attack again. Since garisons replenish over time and your fleet replenish imideatly.

- When you are training your ships or captains not hunting enemy fleets, let enemy run away from you. You will win the battle and get a level. Then attack him again and let him run again for another level. Repeat until your captains and ships are all 5-star.

- AI is millions ahead in cash and you can't afford to load your Schooners with Spices? Take some Galleons or Frigates and conquer independent ports with generic goods and sell them to AI at over a million each. Soon you will be the most powerful company and they will lose their liquidity due to upkeep costs.
