    The lack of comment by anyone official on this suggests to me that they knew all along when Steam was going to release. I think the real question is whether this same delay will apply to HoI3 next week as well. EIC is small in comparison, as evidenced by the relative lack of comments so far on this release day.
    The sailing simulation fanbase is rather small compared to warfare simulations ^^

    EIC is both tho. Naval Warfare admittedly, but warfare nonetheless.

    i strongly suggest to buy Killing Floor if you like Left 4 Dead. KF is worlds better than L4D if you ask me

    Its saturday morning for me, i dowloaded the game yesterday night and Im getting a message saying "the game is currently unavailable, try later". Does anyone of you guys have played the game on steam yet?

  7. #27
    Ive played it non stop recently. Make sure your connected to the internet atleast once so that Steam can tell you are there. Other than that contact Steam Support. Ive not heard anyone else of having this problem though...

    If you get the " The game is currently unavailable at the moment bla bla" then go to start -> Run and type in = convert drive: /fs:ntfs , if you want to be sure you dont lose any files or anything do a safety copy of your files but it should go fine.

    After that its only to start the game up!

    I have figured it out for everyone that is stuck. I downloaded the demo of the game and installed it and a folder was created in the install that didn't appear in the steam install folder. After installing what was in this folder - It worked.

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

    or if you're on a 64 bit machine:

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64) - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...4-157cfdffee4e

    After installing that the game worked for me.

    Still not working for me, but thx for the help anyway. Now Im gonna ask for a refund and get the game somewhere else.

    Hmm, maybe there was more to installing the demo than just that. Have you tried downloading and installing the demo?

  13. #33
    Okay, after trying the demo, I deleted the game, downloaded the game once again and FINALLY works!!! Thx alot man, God bless you.
