    Zoom : No mouse wheel ?

    can i zoom camera without a mouse wheel, if yes, how ? thanks

    Umm... yes you can. Just scroll in and out and the camera zooms in and out (in the world map view and in the naval battles, not inside ports).

    camera_move_zoom_in = wheel-up
    camera_move_zoom_out = wheel-down

    camera_dc_zoomin = up
    camera_dc_zoomout = down

    These settings exist in the "/Config/keybinds.txt" file play around with them but I think you can also edit them from the menu.

    Oops My bad, I misread the original post.
    You can move the camera up & down in naval battles with U & I keyes. Don't know if there's any keys to do this in map mode.

    FWIW I just went into options and changed zoom in and zoom out to be my page up and page down keys.

    How to change Mouse Wheel setting

    I have been searching constantly for the files neccessary to change the mousewheel setting since I don't have a mouse on my laptop. I want to change it to the up and down arrow keys...

    PLEASE HELP....send exactly where to go once you get to the Hearts of Iron 3 file in Paradox Ineractive

    You must mean East India Company, right?

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\east india company\Config

    That's for Windows 7 and the Steam version of EIC.

    While you are at it, change

    show_ship_names = g


    to

    show_ship_names = n


    Otherwise it will conflict with show gui. That's a bug.
