(also "Ulf" is old Swedish/Danish/Norwegian for "Wolf")

Modern Swedish would be "varg" but old Swedish would be "ulv" and modern Danish, Norwegian (and probably Icelandic) would be "ulf". And since Ulf is a common enough Scandinavian name I thought that would fit here.
