The territory would have reverted back, had the Mongols occupied it before Bitter Peace, when it was controled by the Germans but still owned by the Soviets. This mechanism was actually the main reason why Thundergate had to wait for Bitter Peace to fire. The other option would have been to leave the alliancew with the Soviets, which was neither an option nor a pissibility, given that he was at war constantly.

Regarding the game: I wonder whether the Italians will be able to put up a fight. At least their troops should not be concentrated on some faraway border ... or are they once again mainly holed up in Italy proper?

PERFECTLY EXPLAINED, wise Sokraates! I declare you ReadAAR of the Mongol Week for remembering my strategy! Mongols waited long for this to happen! The stongest reason I want the land from Soviet is maintaining a landlink to Europe so i can continue to claim it foreign manpower. Else it stops at Istanbul straits and Suez. The second reason is, it time to claim it back for Khan!!!!
I'm seeing Italy troops now, holing up in their annexed portion of Greece. No wonder I do not meet them in battle unlike Hungarians and Romanians! Next one two updates gonna show how Mongols rapes Mussolini home-boys!

Finally on this date, Lt Gen Zhalnin’s fighter group intercepted the Luftwaffe naval bombers that has been a threat to Mongol CAS fleet!

Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force) Shoot them out of the skies! We need to ensure dominance of our CAS!!!

Lt Gen Zhalnin (Defender I. Aviatsionnyi Korpus): My skills and superior tactician trait should tear the enemy bombers up!


In a pitched battle over the winter skies of Tikhoretsk, the Mongolian interceptors despite at 2/3 readiness level engaged the hated Luftwaffe naval bombers and their escorts! And Zhalnin’s air fleet gained the upper-hand!

Lt Gen Zhalnin (Defender I. Aviatsionnyi Korpus): It will be sometime before the losers return!

After the aerial victory, Zhalnin’s air group will need to recuperate their damaged planes. Another interceptor group transferred all the way from the Eastern Theater will be ready in place to face Luftwaffe if they returns!

With the troops in the breakout point, the Mongol army of 200,000 launch the next phase of attack towards Izmit which is part of Greater Italy that was annexed from Turkey.

FM Lyibangryyan (6th Armija): We got an Italian job to do! Let’s see how well they fight!

Chimid (Chief of Staff): We gonna beat up Hitler’s poodle hard! Real hard!!!


Mussolini clowns did not put up too much of a fight and retreated across the shallow straits to Istanbul! None shall make it as two CAS groups based in Ankara pounded the routed soldiers into pizza stuffing!

Feb 7th, 1947
Mongol 5th Korps crosses Don River into the city of Rostov, it’s defenders long destroyed by CAS. With it comes a new airbase where the CAS fleets shall rebase to continue expanding the reign of terror! The area of Stalingrad-Rostov-Kharkov has seen destruction of more than twenty German divisions from air alone. The German reinforcements are destroyed piecemeal as they arrived, mostly one at a time at a rate of 2-3 divisions a week!

Chimid (Chief of Staff): With Rostov ours, the northern shore of Black Sea will soon fall and Crimea shall be ours too.


Choybalsan (Chief of Army): We shall ride out into Romania! The weakling state will fall if we take their capital and can be annexed to be rightfully returned to Mongols… permanently! This is going to be a sweeping victory just like the decisive Transylvania battles of 1241 where Europe bow to us!! They shall once more!!

Chimid (Chief of Staff): With your counterpart F.M. Lyibangryyan pushing from Anatolia, the two key Mongolian thrusts shall meet up there!!

Izmit is taken and the Mongols are facing a space of shallow water separating them and Istanbul, the gate of gaining the first foothold into Europe! Istanbul is controlled by Bulgaria who has annexed that territory. FM Lyibangryyan is certainly motivated to be the first Mongol general who conquered back a piece of Europe ahead of FM Choybalsan forces who are pushing along the northern coast of Black Sea!

FM Lyibangryyan (6th Armija): It is time to get wet, we must breach the walls of Constantinople and claim it in the name of our Great Khan!

With 150,000 men mounting the attack with CAS swooping pass by in bombing runs ahead, the Bulgarians had the worst nightmares coming back. It is time to return to the fold of the Mongol Golden Horde just like the good old days!!


But some presence of freaking enemy ships interrupted the Mongol advance into Istanbul on Feb 12th and attack was resumed again on 14th. This cycle shall continue a few more times due to enemy naval vessels but Mongol shall not give up!

Feb 22nd, 1947
Air reconnaissance shows the Italian Greek holdings are teeming with Mussolini’s army! The so many islands in the Aegean Sea is camped with the Italian fascist!


Nyambuu (Intel): It looks like they are not advancing to counter us. They are just defending their ground!

FM Lyibangryyan (6th Armija): Oh yes! Mongol mobility shall show these happy campers what death is like!

I hope so but it won't be that easy. Hitler is sending in more reinforcement than Mongol CAS could barely keep up with. And the European skies are swarming with enemy fighters and they do toast the CAS fleet from time to time when they bump together. Mongol interceptors meanwhile have not much time to recover before the next engagement. Everything is stretched thin, Mongol vs industrialised Europe!

The inevitable must happen. How could the less than the km-wide Bosporus straits stop the Mongol hordes? With blazing artilleries from more than 14 heavy infantry brigades, the ancient wall of Constantinople collapses and its defender blown away into ashes!



The fastest division, even faster then the famed calvary of the steppe… the Field Kommand HQ unit, dash across the straits led by Gen Badrak, commander of the Genghis Khan Armija on this special operation to seize Istanbul!

Gen Badrak (Genghis Khan Armija): The city walls has been breached! The defenders routed! The capital of the Byzantine empire belongs to us!! They shall again pay us tribute once more!! They owe us vaults of gold for centuries of missing payment!!


Gen Chimid (Chief of Staff): Yeah, we made it! We have gained a foothold of Europe!

Gen Badrak (Genghis Khan Armija): This victory is for none other than Genghis Khan! The Mongols have arrived in Europe!!! This continent shall shudder with our arrival!

The Bulgarian army morale collapse like the wall of Constantinople when they lose the city to the Mongols! Their newly acquired conquest grabbed away by sheer brute force right in front of their eyes and they have lost 50,000 men to the Mongol’s deadly Calvary Air Strikes! With the Mongol Nine Black Banner of the horse tails boldly swaying with the winds of change at the Kommand HQ tent at the square in front of Hagia Sophia , they knew their former master has announced their arrival!

With Istanbul fallen, the Istanbul straits now is under control of Mongolians! Black Sea is under Mongol control!

Barely a day later, the capital ships of the Soviet Black Sea armada set sail towards Sea of Marmara to exit the Black Sea, their watery imprisonment for years!
The bulk of the Mongol’s army on the opposite of the straits wasted no time in clearing another 5 laid back Italian divisions in Bursa.

FM Lyibangryyan (6th Armija): It’s time to awaken the rest of the Italian army from their slumber! We owned all of Anatolia!!

Routed, the deadly CAS role of the finisher took over, sending another 50,000 men to their end. No escape.

In current game, the 4-ship fleet split off from the original 11 ship group and is having a nice Mediterannean cruise! Seems to be anchoring off the German held Spanish coast revealing heavily garrison beachheads! Good intel

Small detail, Mongols aren't Muslim, they are mainly Buddhist I believe. Although the 'scourge of Buddha' sounds just plain weird.
