Here's a proposal rules addition for Lite games.

Signup period

- Signups will close within 48 hours of the posting of these rules unless otherwise specified by the GM.
- If at the closing of signups the game does not have 17 players, the following wolf-villager ratios will be used:

9 players: 2 wolves, night start
10 players: 2 wolves, night start
11 players: 2 wolves, night start
12 players: 3 wolves, day start
13 players: 3 wolves, night start
14 players: 3 wolves, night start
15 players: 3 wolves, night start
16 players: 4 wolves, day start
17 players: As normal.

A 'night start' means that only people with nightly actions send in orders for the first deadline. No voting shall take place.

A 'day start' can be implemented in two ways:
a) Voting begins immediately after role distribution. The first deadline is a regular vote deadline.
b) A non-player dummy character "the cook" is killed in night 0. This character *can* be assigned the seer role at random. Otherwise, the game proceeds with a normal night start.

The exact contents of that table is open for discussion, as far as I am concerned. I'm not sure what to do in the 8 player case, for instance - two wolves is a bit much if that means just 2 days to parity, one of which is a day start deadline.

The reason why I am posting this should be fairly clear to people who've been following werewolf for a bit longer: We've had periods in the past where GM's would let the signup period for Lite drag for a week or more because of slow signups. That shouldn't be acceptable. The idea behind the game is that it's fairly fast. A Lite game with 17 players has a maximum play time of roughly 9 days. If the signup period lasts a week we get a signup period that lasts just as long - and probably longer - than the average game.

ok. So I read K W guy wanted a classic game of WW. the next one or somewhere in future?

I also had an idea for something totally different with new rules, events (where a player has to make choices), traits that can be gained. all based on Hunger Games (seems fitting for WW

)
first I wanted to do it with lite but there ware too many changes. and randy suggested it was better with big and I agreed

anyway my plane is leaving in a few hours so I can't make a full proposal of the set-up till Monday. It will be up mid-day monday (if everything goes to plan on my trip)

what does teh community want? classic? my set-up? or maybe something else?
