Kosovo now has 8 provinces, Pristina being an urban province.

Oh is that so!? And what about your opinion???

My opinion about?

Montenegro has 10, reason they have so many is because of the Sandzak region in Montenegro, which was (and is) a very ethnically mixed area and has more provinces for potential battles.

Everyone's opinion counts. I have the legal right to speak about my hatred to a false-state everywhere (I do not hate a nation of course, Albanians are very gentle people :D). And IMHO, about the mod, Kosovo shouldn't be too possible to emerge. While secessionist states like Croatia had sufficient army, and war with it was historical, or Srpska (not recognised, but still had a nice population and army), Kosovo isn't so populated place, and I think that the Yugoslav Army would crush such rebellion having it's finger in it's a**, even while fighting in Bosnia.

Thank you very much

It is against the rules debating the whole Kosovo-thing.

Bosnia as a whole has 4 million people; kosovo has 2. Please research your claims, voss. It did, however, lack military equipment. Bosnia had a crapload because of its central position in Yugoslavia and the yugoslav military doctrine of defending the mountainous area in the inner part of the country. Most of those weapons went to the JNA/YNA; Moslem Bosnia had to import its arms from other Muslim countries. It only got hardware from the west later in the war, IIRC.
Also, I think that you overestimate the Serbian army and its leadership. The way they fought the war was far from exemplatory.

I think Kosovo's ability to emerge as independent should be triggered by an event, like if the war is concluded in a serbian defeat, there is a greater chance of that happening after some albanian unrest and possibly even allying kosovo to the USA/EU or providing it with expeditionary forces. Should serbia win the whole war, there should still be a chance of unrest, but decreased chance of an independent country or it's international recognition, or in game terms, resources and allies.

Thoughts?

He has every right to argue his political views; the problem is that most of these discussions end up as flame wars and are closed because of a breach of the 5th and 6th rules.

Sorry for the double post.

EDIT:

Yes you are free to discuss politics, however not in this part of the forum. And certain things are still forbidden, like Israel-Palestine, I believe Paradox have also expressed Kosovo isn't allowed. I could be wrong, but I think so. Anyway it's not to be discussed here but in the OT forum.

Thanks a lot Zygo! Can you draw in the rivers on the map, and could you give me names? Do you think Slovenia should be final?

To everyone: How many provinces do you people want to have? We can of course have as many as 2608, but that would be serious overkill.

I'll show my latest progress, and please correct me, since I live in Sweden and has no relatives or any connections with the Balkans.

Prinz you have me, again i do not want this thread to be a discussion thread.
We will do this: First we will do everthing abut Slovenia, then we goes south.

I am the boss here, what i say will be in the mod.
We have already done the Kosovo flag.
But i say again, it will be a expansion pack there you get Kosova flag, Vojvodina flag and other stuff.

Prinz i take the minister pics! You work on the map:)

Then the names of another federal units/states should be:

- Slovenija
- Hrvatska
- Srbija
- Vojvodina
- Crna Gora
- Makedonija
- Republika Srpska
- Hrvatska Republika Herceg-Bosna
- Zapadna Bosna
- Bosna i Hercegovina
- Sanak
- Republika Srpska Krajina

Or am I mistaken? (And by the way, this is not flaming of any kind, just a question.)

Could anyone be so kind to paint out the rivers on the Slovenia map? My knowledge of the region is not that big. :D

Here is the latest map, be warned though. Due to my inferior knowledge of the geographic area, some locals might want to poke their eyes out, while others scream with joy. It all depends on your location, of course. Corrections are 500,000% wanted! ;)

Here we go.
I made Maribor urban; it has 50 000+ inhabitants.
Rivers are generally very near the borders, so I placed the directly on the borders. Rivers in hoi were placed in the same manner...
If anyone wishes to debate this, he is welcome; I'm not that much of a specialist in graphic design (MS Paint =S ) and I have generalised river placement. Not all rivers are present, only those which I deemed important for this map.
Based on this:
Slovenija-reke.png

Looking at that map, I have decided to surround both Ljubljana and Maribor with rivers. It will certainly help Slovenia win the Ten-Day war.

Thing is: Either a river goes all the way, or it doesn't go at all. The bonus from a river doesn't appear if there is no river the whole border between to provinces.

Perhaps Minister of Armament can be renamed Minister of Defence?

I see what you mean. And after taking a look at the map I find your proposition feasible.
Novo Mesto, Celje and Murska Sobota should have the whole border with croatia "riverified", rivers in those areas are generally near the border with limited, narrow corridors that can be ignored.

EDIT: should we implement an event where Slovenia stabs croatia in the back?
Probably receiving Istra and some of the Kajkavian lands...
