    1337-1821

I'm currently working on a mod which expands timeline to 1337. AFAIK it's not done before.

The purpose of the mod is an extension of the original vanilla game, which expands timeline to 1337, with new countries and updated history for the entire period between 1337-1399. It is only an extension, so in 1399 all will be as it is in EU3 IN vanilla. And ideas, advisors, buildings, policies and religions will not be changed. (unless someone persuades me to )

It's mostly inspired by 1337 scenario from AOI for EU2 (thanks to Hive) and by the 1337 scenario from Crusader Kings (thanks to Paradox)

0.1 is done, and should be ready for download as soon as possible.

    1337 in 0.1

    New countries:
Mallorca - Mallorca + Southern France
    Verona - Italy
    Meath - Ireland
    Teke - West Turkey
    Edessa - East Turkey
    Volhynia - East Poland
    Chernigov - Ukraine
    Smolensk - Belarus
    Kiev - Ukraine
    Suzdal - Russia
    Armenia Minor - East Turkey
    Cyrenaica - Libya
Caliphate - doesn't exist from start
    Chobanids - Caucasus
    Kartids - Persia
    Injuids - Persia
    Shabankara - Persia
    Sardabars - Persia
    Muzaffarids - Persia
    Yuan - Mongol China

New flags for all of them. Some of them are correct, others are totally random.

Norse added as culture, which will cover Iceland, Greenland, Orkney and Western Isles. Norway has ownership of Greenland and Western Isles from the start.

Africa beyond Sahara and America has not been changed yet.

India and South East Asia has not been changed yet.

    What has been changed:

Generally more deconstructed. Especially France. Bavaria starts as Emperor. Holstein has parts of Denmark from the start. Denmark has Estonia and parts of Livonia. Norway is in union with Sweden. Russia is more deconstructed but most of them are vassals of the Golden Horde. Bulgaria and Serbia are independent and rather capable. Byzantium is much stronger, and has a chance of surviving. The opposite with the Ottomans. Venice and Austria are stronger. Hungary is stronger. Fez and Nubia are indenpendent from the start. And Il-Khanate has just fallen, so a lot of interesting semi-powers in Persia. Yuan dynasty rules China and Mongolia, but starts with high revolt risk. (perhaps too high) Some other things too.

Probably a lot is incorrect and so on, but the sooner the feedback, the sooner the changes are made

    Objectives.
    1. Adjust technology and units
    2. Make Europe, North Africa and Asia as correct as possible for 1337
    3. Make Europe, North Africa and Asia as correct as possible from 1337-1399
    4. New Missions and Decisions for new countries and for Europe, North Africa and Asia from 1337-1399.
    5. Black Death events, paralyzing Asia and Europe with high casualties and a lot of other bad effects like lowering tax and production, and spark religious revolts.
    6. And when all of that is done the rest of Africa will be done.
    7. Last after everything else is correct and done, America will be done.

And as mentioned above, the sooner the feedback, the sooner the change.

Can anyone please tell me how to upload the mod? (embarassing...)

PS. If you're interested in helping with the extension please PM me.

Sounds great! I have sent you a PM regarding a request and an offer...

The easiest way to upload something is to either upload it to the Paradox server using the Manage Attachments button or to upload it to a site such as www.filefront.com.
    Current game:

ATAGE for Divine Wind -A standalone version of Magna Mundi's Government Ranks system.

Optimum Scholarum Cogitationis -A collection starring SRI, Dei Gratia, ATAGE and much more.

Aegean Crusade -Finish what the Fourth Crusade started.

I’ve been sitting on Bellum Centum Annorum for a while, and have been slowly adding things to it. I don't have much, but it's something that will grow very gradually. Maybe by this year’s end. Who knows

Your mod does sound like fun, I’d love to see what you have when you’ve gotten the chance to upload it.

    Good luck with development!

    Okay

I see 21 has downloaded it, I guess it's working then.

Hope I'll get some feedback soon though. Especially about the tech. If you start in 1337 do you have 1399 tech in 1399 and 1500 in 1500 and so on...

I recieved a link to a page with dynasties in Europe from early medieval and forth, should be helpful now that I'm working at monarchs for countries from 1337-1399.

Oh I forgot. To all who has downloaded it, please post screenshots if you experience oddities or proof that it doesn't totally mess up the game.

Right now I'm doing monarchs and alliances for the european countries. After that adjusting Europe (history/provinces). Possibly after that 0.2 for download.

Is Norway in a Personal Union with Sweden the best way to do it? Technically it's right of course, but the end result would never be Sweden inheriting Norway, as could very well happen frequently in EU3.

    Downloading this.

Edit: Is this for 3.1 or 3.2?

3.2 (as far as I remember)

Actually I believe so. First of all the history system of EU 3 is meant to be as correct as possible on specific dates, not for gameplay issues for the rest of the game. If you start in 1450 the result in 1800 would be different than if you start in 1399.

By the way, I can't see how it would never end with Sweden annexing Norwat irl. Not my best period though, so please enlighten me, if you have any suggestions to do it another way.

Oh, and Nimic, if you're interested in helping with some history stuff for Scandinavia, please pm me.

PS. Please post if the tech/units has to be changed.

I've played this mod a couple of times (about 150 years in each time). No show stopping bugs were encountered. However neither can one really test game progression since the monarchs are missing for so many countries. In the early part of the game, monarch ratings comprise about 50-80% of the GDP of a country (more for smaller countries, less for bigger ones). Thus economic output is completely compressed and most countries reach 1399 with tech levels still at 1/1/1/1/1. Once you get monarchs filled in, better tests can be conducted.

you believe the next part should be the monarchs?

    (thats actually what I'm doing...)

btw, have any screenshots? or general information on how the world (political and religious) looked in 50, 100, 150 years from start?

I'm playing a game as naples now. What do you want to know?
I'm just over 20 years into this game. (I'm not really familiar with modding so I wonder what you're interested in.)
Technological progress goes very, very slow, as mentioned earlier.

this would really help in the WWM as there is an effort going on the extend the timeline backwards to 1200 if I remember the date correctly... It would save them a lot of work? I could (or you could) suggest it to them with your permission. I'm not sure how much they've done though

Lol, no. I reduced them to a 3 province minor in 1369 using corfu as a springboard. France doesn't blob yet, though gradually expending. England seems to thrive under this. China fell quickly into utter chaos.

That sounds like an amazing game. There is finally a way to balance the blobbers!
