The following is a short clip from a newsreel appearing in Japanese theaters in January 1944:


Arise, Workers of Japan! We bring you word of the International Proletarian Revolution.

In Europe, the war between the Syndicalists and the German Imperialists has ended. France has reigned supreme, and has divided Germany in four while occupying the rest of the continent directly. This is proof that they are False Leftists. The Russians Tsar, fresh from consolidating his position, is wary of the French, and the French of the Russians.

Our forces continue their push towards victory! Yes, in August the Ottoman puppet of Armenia was crushed and its people freed! We continue to advance on all fronts!

By early December, all of the Ottoman Empire was liberated, save their capital of Istanbul. They, like the Byzantines before them, have been driven from Anatolia and all of their other territory.

While we have reigned victorious over our Imperialist enemies, France has provoked another. They have gotten the Russian Empire to join the Canadian Imperialists and declare war upon them. This keeps the Imperialists and the Faux Leftists fighting, and distracted while we build our power base and free the other peoples of the world!

Transcaucasia was actually the name of a Soviet Republic in the 1920s. They split it up into Georgia/Armenia/Azerbeijan after a few years though. Even communism couldn't unite the quarrelsome Caucasus peoples :eek:o

Methinks that Japan needs to step up the pace of world revolution!! Its enemies gather millions under their yoke, while Japan contends itself with conquering useless desert and mountains and trying to bring socialism to camel herding nomads??

I mean, it makes sense to give your puppets some time so they can build troops (especially China and California) but you need to think about strategic resources, too, and about strategic mobility on the oceans and on the Asian continent.

What shape is Russia in? Are they anywhere near capable of resisting the French? And what is Britain doing... are they fighting it out on the high seas with Canada? Have the Canadians tried any stunts against the British isles, or Ireland?

There are still way too many neutrals... Ireland, Austria-Hungary, Italian Federation, they should all be drawn into the war, not sit aside and bide their time. :mad: Are the Habsburgs and the Pope really going to stand by idly while the godless leftist dismantle the monarchies of Europe??
 
Smash the remaining German territories in Africa and Asia.

And I have to admit, I am really starting to like the swarm of puppet states, I mean, new Comintern members :D that you are bringing into existance rather than the usual monochromatic BLOB that slowly slides across the world.

Yeah Italy managed to avoid war while the French were fighting the Germans, and now that they're preoccupied with the Russians they're probably home free. And there will be no communist Caliphate for the same reason there will be no communist Papal State: religion and communism don't mix.

Problem is that both of them are in the Entente, and I really don't want to be at war with Canada and Russia right now. :(

I'll step the pace up, but the next few updates are just tying up a few loose ends, sorry. Russia has a fairly large, if somewhat outdated, army. I stop in with the other wars with no fog on every once in a while, and the Canadians and the British have had a few carrier battles but both navies are basically in tact, and Canada, Australia, etc. are shipping in troops to help the Russians in Europe.

There is something nice about it, isn't there? But they don't stay my puppet states. When they become really powers in their own right (China) or I've had them freed for a few years, I release them.

Then it would no longer be a Caliphate, but simply The People's Republic Formerly Known as the Ottoman Empire.

Speaking of Former Ottoman Territories, will the International be establishing control in the Libyan Sultanate(?) (I don't remember what their leader's title is, and I was just playing this mod) ?

I like the new nations, too. So much more fun redrawing the map your own style. Plus, the righteous Japanese can now lead a United Nations Organization of their own and only let the cool people in :D Then they get to do speeches and grand proclamations in front of an international audience (of fellow Trostkyists). So much more fun!!

How many Comintern/4th International members are there now?
- Japan
- China
- Siberia
- Korea
- Philippines
- Vietnam
- Centroamerica
- California
- Turkey
- Arabia
- Transcaucasia
- Malaysia? I'm not sure if you released them. In any case I think you forgot to color them red on the world map!

Of these, Siberia is mainly a propaganda platform against Russia and an embryo which nurtures the future Marxist leadership for Russia. Centroamerica serves the same purpose for the smaller states of central America, and in California Marxism is adapted to the conditions of north America. Great potential all around, but eventually some more war will be required to fully spread the revolution!!

What about the neutrals, actually? Isn't neutrality actually a useless concept in this global class struggle?

Dehli is allied to the Entente. This is a danger. India needs to be shown the true road towards communism after the failure of the Bengalese pseudo-revolution. Persia and Afghanistan are another pair of rotten old monarchies, not necessarily powerhouses of revolutionary sentiment (the locals are ignorant and cling far too much to their religious superstitions) but strategically it would make sense to attack and impose by force Marxist governments aligned with the other members of the 4th International. If they were to join the Entente, this could have disastrous consequences for communications with the new middle eastern Comintern members, as it would almost connect Dehli with Russia.

Oh and the Netherlands! The Netherlands!! Last bastion of old fashioned liberal-capitalist exploitation. They hold Indonesia. Why is this allowed to stand!! The Syndicalists are breathing down their neck in Europe, yet they are allowed to hold down millions and millions of suffering Indonesians in Asia. If you were to attack them now, what obstacles would there be? Think of the benefits!! Secure communications with the middle east, secure oil reserves, and a bastion against the Entente in southern Asia. I think you should attack the Netherlands right now!

Isn't it lonely to be the only nation to be named the X People's Republic, and naming everyone else People's Republic of X?

I wanna see the Bengali People's Republic, the Afghan People's Republic, the Malay People's Republic and more.

Once the Russians entered the war against the French Syndicalists, the fight between the two largest armies in Europe began. The titans have begun moving huge amounts of troops to bear against each other. However, while their armies are large, one-for-one they stand no chance against the small but extremely skilled People's Japanese Army.

The Union of Britain has finally made its first moves on land in the entire war. It has landed forces in German Morocco and Ottoman Libya. They have been very successful against that faction, but in succeeding against them they are also putting themselves in a position where National France can fight against them. The war of the Reactionaries continues!

In the Mideast, one of our carrier groups has finally moved around all of Africa, putting it in position to support Communist seizure of the Suez Canal. Now the Fourth Communist International controls the jugular of world trade! Yes, with this we can strike against the capitalists economically, when the time is right.

By seizing the Suez, we have also deprived the Germans of their last resort naval base. Their grand fleet sailed into the Mediterranean, where it encountered one of our four carrier fleets. The ensuring battle was the largest in history. Against all contrary reports, we have crushed their navy completely, left it a shell of its former glory. Ours is now the largest navy in the world, and surely the most experienced!

In Europe, the Russians have put all their might in an attempt to retake the Ukraine. They are slowly but surely pushing the French out of the area. The French, on the other hand, have taken a leaf out of Napoleon's book and have driven straight for Moscow. Whether the Russians can stop them will be interesting to see.

So in the Naval Battle you lost but you did sink a lot of the German Navy?

So while France and Russia duke it out, you building for a war against them along with the Germans?

Russia is allied with the Canadian Imperialists, any action against them puts the fledgling Pacifica at risk.

The Next Target of the International Revolution should be the African Revolutionary Republic, currently Imperialist MittleAfrika and Boer South Africa.
 
that has to be the largest, most destructive naval battle i've ever seen. i think carriers have proved their superiority.

That's just frittering away his strength against worthless targets. He should consolidate his position and his communications in Asia and strike against Indonesia, Persia and Afghanistan. Only then should he go beyond the Eurasian continent.
