Once you've defeated the imperialists, maybe you can set up some of your Russian comrades in Transamur as a base from which to launch the Eurasian revolution. The workers and peasants of the Motherland cry out for the guiding hand of Bolshevism!;)

Even though you're going to be event-less, fortunately you can create all the same effects through a combination of in game actions and editing. It's just a little less immersive for the player, but if you don't mind then there's no problem.

That's what I've been doing, and it works for me. It's the same effect for the AAR readers, so we're all good.

Cool .D :D :

Revolution Rises in the East
Chapter 2
"I know well enough, from my own experience, the historical ebb and flow. They are governed by their own laws. Mere impatience will not expedite their change."
--Leon Trotsky
The following is a short clip from a newsreel appearing in Japanese theaters in April 1936:

. . . and our leader Nosaka Sanzo has responded by saying that "The People of Japan are glad that the People of Mexico have chosen to go down one of the many roads to socialism. While I am personally sad that they have chosen a Western-school party, we are all brother workers." Mexico joins the ranks of the rising number of socialist nations across the Globe!

JPR31.png
In the war, our brave troops fight against the capitalists and oppressors in mainland Asia. We have had a beachhead since early this month. Transamur is threatened, and our forces march on their capital.

JPR32.png
On the other side of Korea, the oppressors of the Fengtien Republic were shocked at a daring raid by Japanese forces! The raid on Dalian--the very place that the Imperialists of Russia and our own nation once waged battle in--was successful, and the Army has stated that it succeeded in disrupting enemy troops and in getting arms to the workers of Manchuria, so that they may rise against their government!

On the same day on the other side of the world, the Capitalists in the German Empire attacked the Free Workers Union of Germany. The Japanese People's Republic condemned the assault on the Workers. The syndicalists in France and in other places, however, did not do the same.

JPR33.png
The Imperialists in Transamur have surrendered! They have seen the willpower of the People of Japan and of the workers around the world, and they have given up! Vladivostok and the surrounding area will remain occupied for now, but the workers are being organized to help in the struggle with the remaining Imperialists.

JPR34.png
The Japanese People's Navy has announced that its assault on Dalian has succeeded! Even now, your marines are securing the city for the people! This is the first strike in Manchuria proper, and it shows the oppressors that this struggle is one that they will not win. . .

JPR35.png

With Transamur down that leaves two to go. I'm interested to see Japan's plans for the region; will there be puppet states or direct annexation? And events in Europe foreshadow a potential conflict in the socialist fraternities. The Syndicalists will undoubtedly prove themselves too soft when it comes to the war on capitalist-imperialism and thus require stronger action from the true followers of Marx.

I'm gonna have WAY too much fun spouting propaganda during this AAR.:D

I missed this when it came out. Great idea for an AAR.

BTW here is a slightly fixed map (Europe was a bit off) for the one posted on the 1st page:

Revolution Rises in the East
Chapter 3
-The full annexation of these nations would be a betrayal of all we stand for! The people of Asia need freedom from capitalists and imperialists!
-And who better to give it to them than the one nation in the world that follows the words of Marx and Trotsky?
-They need liberation, yes, but if we simply annex them are we any better than the Empire we replaced?
From the minutes of Japanese Politburo, 28 May 1936

The following is a short clip from a newsreel appearing in Japanese theaters in June 1936:

Arise, Workers of Japan! We bring you word of the International Proletarian Revolution!

Japanese forces have taken the Liaotung Peninsula from the pseudo-Imperialists of the Fengtien Republic! Yes, the progressive forces have landed in both Transamur and Manchuria. In the waters nearby, the Japanese People's Navy crushed an attempt to halt the worker's liberation.

Abroad, the Workers are not as lucky as they are in our Glorious Socialist Homeland. In Bengal, the government--which claims to be socialist, but is nothing more than Western Syndicalism--did not redistribute the land to the people of Bengal. Their doctrine is without Marx, and thus the workers and peasants of Bengal must suffer.

JPR41.png
Since the seizure of the Liaotung Peninsula, the forces of the People have managed to push the forces of the Oppressors back in every encounter. After a month, the only major city remaining in their grip was Harbin! The Proletarians throughout Manchuria are being freed from the Capitalists!

JPR42.png
After Harbin fell earlier this month, the leaders of the Fengtien Republic have seen that the will of the people is strong. They have surrendered! With its forces surrounded and its people being liberated, Korea will be next, and soon!

JPR43.png
On the other side of the globe, the Capitalists of Europe have gone on the offensive against their workers! Reactionaries relying on religion--the opiate of the masses--to oppress their people with an economic alliance of capitalism!

JPR45.png
The People of Manchuria, Transamur, and Korea now have liberation and have tasted the glory of the International Revolution. But the Imperialists do not wish to see their thrones--built upon the People's work--taken away from them. The dastardly Chinese Empire has declared war upon the Japanese People's Republic! They wish to halt the Revolution!

China is a masochist for daring to disturb the Peoples Republic of Japan :D

Qing attacks, Qing tries, Qing fails! :D
Actually, not really. It's the first half of 1936 so all of my units are still Mark 1918, so no tech advantage. And they have more units than I do, I think, at least for now. It'll be close, especially at first.

Hmmm..... As I said, you know who to call if you need historical help :p
Ok, thanks. You were a huge help in the last one, but I think that we won't see a Great Power Korea in this one. :(

Catholic league? intersting stuff!
It's more of an economic union, not a military alliance. Though all are non-aligned (not Entente or Mitteleuropan).

You can annex them, by doing that, you are being better than the imperialists, seeing as your...um..."protecting" true and righteous communism. :D
Exactly, "Socialism in one country," and that country is SUPER JAPAN! :D

It's more of you getting allies among the Koreans. You definitely don't want to deal with Kim Il Sung :D

Of course, your last comment takes steam out..... :(
