The City of Satu Mare was for a brief period left ungaurded. This hints that the Hungarian Army is not as large as previously thought.
hoi22009-01-2618-34-10-86.jpg

The Hungarian Army did soon fill the gap.
hoi22009-01-2618-57-58-03.jpg

The Liberation of Uzice
New tank divisions are deployed giving me more room to maneuver. The Serbian army has tried to dislodge the Hungarians from Uzice but their obsolete weapons and equipment gain them little progress.
hoi22009-01-2618-58-14-41.jpg

It was decided that the Units stationed in Nis would be moved into position to attack Uzice and the new tanks shall take their place.
hoi22009-01-2618-58-49-92.jpg

In a short lived attempt to drive us from Craiova the Hungarian army launches a short lived attack. Their infantry began to move into the hills of the region but were soon turned back when the area in front of them was reduced to a cratered wasteland by our Artillery brigades.
hoi22009-01-2618-59-26-69.jpg

Things look terrible for the French. Winter is the only thing stopping the Germans from overwhelming them. All the more reason for our war to end as quickly as possible lest a victorious Germany comes the Hungary's aid.
hoi22009-01-2619-03-25-50.jpg

The 3 tank divisions began their attack on Uzice which the Hungarians had entrenched themselves in. Romanian Armor however proved to be far less vulnerable then the Serbian infantry was.

hoi22009-01-2619-04-35-28.jpg

Finally after a long drawn out fight the Hungarians withdrew in defeat.
hoi22009-01-2619-04-54-70.jpg

This series of events has revealed that the Hungarians are ill prepared for large scale attacks in most area's. This will prove to be a great boon come springtime.

Yay! Updates!

Hmm, those pics look familiar, worldwar2.ro perhaps?
Well, you'll have to put this on for your victory parade:
http://worldwar2.ro/images/content/TACAM_T-60_parada_l.jpg
And by 1945 you'd better invent the Stg-44 (and call it the ACI-4x - Automat Calibru Intermediar model 194x):
http://worldwar2.ro/images/content/inf41.jpg

Now, back to the AAR, in Serbia you could try and take Mostar, so you can trap divisions in Podgorica and Dubrovnik.
You might also want to mil control Serbia so you can use those 11 divisions in Beograd to support attack on your advance into Hungary proper.

Nice, the Romanian tanks have finally proved themselves in battle. When this winter ends, the Hungarians don't stand a chance! :D

You can also use the 5 infantry divisions in Albania to conquer a little of the Yugoslavian coast and support attacks of your panzer into the hearth of Yugoslavia :D

Nice work.

I can't wait for Spring.

6 new divisions have completed training and are ready for deployment.
hoi22009-02-0520-54-50-14.jpg

The freed up space was then used to begin the training and equipment of new squadrons for the Air force. Much is planned for these new pilots when spring arrives.
hoi22009-02-0520-50-03-42.jpg

3 of the new divisions were ordered to move to Uzice to support the tank divisions stationed there. The other 3 are deployed along the northern sector Carpathian line.

hoi22009-02-0520-56-12-75.jpg

The news that reinforcements were to be sent to Serbia gave new heart to the beleaguered Serbian Army who soon captured the port city of Podgorica.
hoi22009-02-0521-05-23-94.jpg

Another 6 divisions finish there training and a ready for combat. They wpuld soon be sent to Serbia when news arrived that the Hungarians counter attacked. The tanks in Uzice did what they could to try and stop the Hungarians but they failed in the areas hilly terrain. When the Hungarian Airforce began bombing the Serbians, Romania's only sqaudron would engage them in the skies and get badly mauled. This however bought the Serbians time to retreat.

hoi22009-02-0521-09-50-76.jpg

The decision was made that although the attack on the Magyar heartland would not take place till spring, a Winter Assault would be launched to capture the Adriatic coastline.
hoi22009-02-0521-10-23-28.jpg

Yay for reinforcements D:

Why are you waiting for spring? By that time Hungary could pull some divisions out of it's ass and stop any offensive. Attack Arad now with all forces arriving at the same time, and then use them to support an attack on Satu Mare by forces in Bacau. Break the line and encircle them in the Banat!

Operation Impaler

Impaler was the chosen name of the plan to invade Hungary's heartland. The basic idea is simple really wait till the snow thaws, then hit them with everything we have. But that was not to be. Political pressure from certain individuals within the government, have force the Army to revise the plan. It now has been accelerated and the invasion shall begin in the dead of winter.

The first blood was spilt in Timosoara. Divisions from 3 regions fell upon the Hungarians simultaneously and of course they never stood a chance.
hoi22009-02-1017-00-24-68.jpg

Another attack was launched into Satu Mare. Once again with our forces having overwhelming supremacy.
hoi22009-02-1017-01-09-65.jpg

The third attack in Arad did not go as well as the others.
hoi22009-02-1017-01-35-23.jpg

The Hungarians began to counterattack and force back our troops.
hoi22009-02-1017-01-56-42.jpg

Motorized Cavalry fresh from the attack on Timosoara, joined in the fray. This was still not enough to stem the tide of battle.

hoi22009-02-1017-02-38-68.jpg

hoi22009-02-1017-02-54-50.jpg

The attacks failure was due to the combined factors of weather and terrain. This is what happens when you launch winter assaults into hilly terrain.
hoi22009-02-1017-03-04-35.jpg

Serbia's army has finally coordinated with Romania in its operations and brought most of its army up to modern standards. A mostly Serbian led attack on Zrenjanin is initiated.
hoi22009-02-1017-03-37-67.jpg

hoi22009-02-1017-04-00-65.jpg

Romanian National Guards join in the fray trapping the enemy on 3 sides. Resulting in victory.
hoi22009-02-1017-04-18-78.jpg

hoi22009-02-1017-04-39-68.jpg

The Serbians begin an attack on Podgorica, assisted by the Romanian Army.
hoi22009-02-1017-04-57-03.jpg

With more troops availiable this time around, a second attack begins in Arad which is a resounding success.
hoi22009-02-1017-05-51-53.jpg

hoi22009-02-1017-06-06-82.jpg

The Hungarians attempted to launch counter attacks into Zrenjanin and Arad but epic fail.

For the first time in history all of Romania's lands are unified under one banner. There is still much work to do before she can truly count herself among the great powers of the world.
hoi22009-02-1017-10-46-12.jpg

Realizing the lack of any airstrips in most of the country, several airfields are ordered built.
hoi22009-02-1017-14-05-39.jpg

Two tank divisions that were stationed in Serbia are ordered to redeploy in Arad, they will be spearheading the attack to Budapest! for the plains of Debrecen now wait our footsteps.

hoi22009-02-1017-19-05-26.jpg

Nice progress. Slow but steady.
What's your war aims by the way?
- Recover Transsylvania for Romania?
- Move the border to Tisa river (annex Debrecen and its airport)?
- Unite Serbia with its fellow south slavs currently under Magyar rule?
- install a Slovakian fascist puppet republic?
- install an Austrian fascist puppet republic?
...or annex it all to Romania Magna?

Germany is probably going to fight you at some time so the Austrian puppet might not be such a grand idea, better annex the area directly. A Hungarian puppet could provide some useful cannon fodder, as would Slovakia. If Serbia stays on your side then they would immensely profit from annexing everything up to Slovenia, because they have cores on all that, right? Is there an event transforming them to Yugoslavia?

It's back! Well, the attack wasn't as successful as I expected (aka Tisa border), but nonetheless, I like the way you included political pressure.

As far as I remember from my time at Kaiserreich, there was an event where you could claim Debrecen at he end of the war, but I don't remember whether it was for IG Rom or Royalist Rom, or both, and I'm not sure whether it has been implemented, or it's in a „to be refined” folder. Anyway, you can mess with the files if not, under your IG Rom situation, getting Debrecen (Debrețin) would be a logical thing to do.

Serbia claims everything up to Slovenia, and they should get it (more IC for your main ally). A Slovenia, Bohemia and Austria-Hungary (as in strictly Austria-Hungary) set of puppets could probably work, or leave the mutilated A-H with a simple peace treaty, so you could script a revenge war a few years later, while Romania is making an international name for it's self. Alternately, it could settle down, but that wouldn't be much fun, unless some more interesting world events will force it.

With Great Romania unified, time to unify Dacia!

@ Leviathan

Current Goals are as follows.
1. Destruction of the current hungarian state.
2. establishment of a greater Yugoslavia for our orthodox brethren in Serbia.
3. Establish an independent Slovakia allied to the Belgrade pact.
4. Austrian and Hungarian meatshield puppets will be established to act as a battle ground for any Confrontations between Imperial Germany and Iron Guard Romania.

Sounds cool. However if germany overruns an Austrian puppet of yours, they will surely annex the land, right? So wouldn't it be better to keep the lands that are likely to be occupied by germany under your direct control? Otherwise you would have to conquer Germany wholesale or force them somehow to give the land back to you should you want to make a premature peace.

If you want to go into space though, you need a colony near the equator for your launch base :D Abyssinia? Yemen?

Nice goals!

What is this Dacia?

LOL, what a „we made it just for the fun of it” game! The story: The evil and oppressive Romanian Empire conquers the world under Emperor Ceaușescu, and then, under Emperor Băsescu, attempts to enslave all the races in the Galaxy. :D And your the captain of the Căcănarii squad (Fags squad in translation). :D

And Dacia was the kingdom of the Dacians, the genetic ancestors (by a factor of over 75%) of the Romanians, located in the same area.

romania in space, huh?:D
well, then why not srbija do tokia (serbia to tokyo):D
it will be cool to give them tokyo when (if) you take it:D

That game was the best lulz worthy game I played in my whole life
