hooray! more pics and updates. And a nice broadcasting by the BBC there. Fair and balanced?!

Man you're struggling. your TC is going crazy! is that 7% ESE?!! how on earth can you get ANYthing done this way?

Now I wonder about that democracy. If you survive as a democracy, it will truly be a skilled game. But you're only 3 dissent away from coup-ing. :) if you wanted, you could, you know. Save you 20% dissent and go socialist or 40% and go communist, and get central planning as a bonus for more IC, TC, and get the manpower minister as an extra. (only that would mean you've lost the struggle to uphold democracy... hahaha a catch 22 XD )

and naturally this deserves a Video to Celebrate

It took me about three days of reading (Albeit, intermittent) to catch up.

I just have to say that so far, this AAR has astounded and pleased me to no end. My writer's sense is tingling to take this and write a small little story based in the AHistorical universe you have created.

Very good writing, Firestorm.
Very, very good game!

I can't wait to see whether the Long Siege awaits, or how Democracy ends...
Hope you have fun in Europe!

BTW, doesn't the UK still have its nuclear reactor? It's probably best you keep a bloody close eye on it methinks.

Yup, my reactors are still up. Fire wont be able to update much i think.

Yea, no update for a while. I am finally a hotel with free internet. The trip is a blast so far, the Luftwaffe museum and the Panzer museum being among some of the interesting places. Berlin was a blast, and I am now in Köln (Cologne). I would give more information, but I will wait to do that till I finish the trip. As there is only one computer in the hotel, I do not wish to keep it all to my self. I would like to note that....

Autobahn = awesome
That being said, Netherlands should leave road building to the Germans. No offense, but I thought I would die on those roads. Within a 20km stretch towards Amsterdam, the speed limit changed atleast 10 times I swear.

Not to mention all the wierd seizure signs. I looked them and I thought I would spasm.

Anyway, I look forward to writing again.

@Juan_de_Marco: The TC problem is literally crippling, and as you can tell it is having a disasterous effect. I will watch the video when I return to Canada. The browsers at these hotels are outdated and horrible. Yea, it is an interesting situation, indeed a catch 22.

@Third Prophecy: Thanks! Any story you make on this AAR would definatly be worth a read.

@all: Thanks for all the wishes on my trip. So far is is going much better then I planned. Culture here is so much different, I may not want to leave :D

It is only a rumour that German Highways have no speed limits. Actually most of them do, ~120 kph most of the time, and most of the rest that doesn't is marred by constant construction.

If you visit vienna come to the MuseumsQuartier
Its a nice place to be at day and night. One of the greatest places in this city. I may recommend you to go from the St. Stephan´s Cathedral (Stephansplatz) through the Hofburg and Heldenplatz then you are going straight through the 2 historical museums, and come to the museumsquartier, without troubles. It needs 1 hour and you have seen the greatest places in the city. And for the joy i had reading your AAR heres a plan. I hope it doesnt seem as if i want to impose you something, its just good knowlegde to have if you are there. :p

for the later hours I can recommend you the flex
The "Zuckerwatt goes crazy" at saturday 23.may is the place to be, I will be there, and it will be superb.

;)

enjoy your voyage! :)

Come to Poland. You shall gain a whole new perspective on that matter...

I just finished reading this AAR from page 13 to this one! My god, that's a incredibly wonderful and dystopic AAR!! Death, blood and nukes everywhere! Damn treacherous soviets! They could've decided the war and killed Germany, but nooo, "let's take over the Far East, Comrades!" was somehow the overwhelming consesus in the party. WTF?

I can't believe Germany is still standing after absurd nukage! DAIM AI seems to be a monster. And I thought HSR's Germany (which managed to stand tight in a atrittion war with the USSR beyond 1945) was a monster.

The world is probrably going to look like the Fallout world after the war ends.

Hey guys, its me again :D

Currently I am in Switzerland, and on the way from Zurich got hit by a massive storm, everyone on the highway pulled to the shoulder and hit their hazard lights. It was pretty cool and fun to say the least. Vienna was nice, but sadly I was not able to spend the night in the town. For certain reasons all the plans got changed up (will go into further detail when I get back). Those changes resulted in missing the entire Italian leg of the trip, and cutting much of France out, only got to visit Strasbourg.

Vienna was very nice. I got to see alot of the places along this long main stretch that I thank etepetete for. I also got to see two flaktowers in a park, and then another flaktower that was inside of a courtyard. I was very narrow minded in the fact that I did not realize it was a miliary compound. Nor did I notice the guy who came out of nowhere and scared the shit out of me. Needless to say, having my camera in hand helped explaining what I was doing there...

Good thing he took it light heartedly, and let me snap a few pictures from where I was standing.

I was dissapointed that I was not able to enter any flaktowers. I could not find the one I was trying to find, due to the change in plans I did not have time to research it. Initially were were going to go to Switzerland, then Austria, but we hit Austria first and had little time to prepare.

Which is why I missed visiting Rommel`s grave...grrr....we were so close too. Got to Erwin Rommel Strasse though. Next trip to Germany I will make it a must. Next time I go with more flexible people then my grandfather.

But that is for another day. Free internet is scarce at there hotels, so I must make the best of the time I have. Tomorrow I am off to Bern, and by the 31st I am back in Canada. A few days after that, I will get the AAR up and running again. I will also then respond to the many comments you guys are leaving about the AAR itself :). Don`t worry, I`m not ignoring the comments guys, just short on time to go back and forth and reply on all of them.

Till then, see yea

In the US you would probably have been arrested for terrorism.

Straßburg is pretty German though, no?

In the US you would probably have been arrested for terrorism.

Speaking as someone who did time in the Marines. No, he would not have. Of course our bases have signs and fences all over the place, so odds are he would realized faster. The worse he would have gotten is an hour or two cooling his heels at the MP center and a stern talking to from a Captain of Marines before being sent on his way. Seeing as most bases are not classified at all, he would even have been allowed to keep the camera.

Ehh, It would depend on what he walked into.

I was in the US Navy, and if he'd wandered onto the base I was stationed at (camera in hand) they probably would have held him for the maximum time for questioning. (Of course, any other base in the area and he'd probably get just what you described.)

On another note, just caught up with this AAR and enjoyed it completely. I cannot wait to see how this turns out. Subscribed :)

Those flaktowers are relicts from WW2 so nobody cares anymore.
Its somehow a reminder that all this hate and destruction was real and not just printet in books.. they just came out with plans for doing something with this towers. like a museum or a night club or something..
