I don't think that USSR is a country where the leadership is decided by the dominant populance. Stalin was a Georgian for comparison.

Actualy, near 50% of the chairmen were non-Russian, especialy if you don't count the two real short lived ones before Gorby.
The Australian and NZ flags are way too 1990s for this time period. In the 1960s you didn't put wavy aborigene looking stuff on flags... they should both keep their historical flags.

Well concerning France, it depends on who is the HoS (sorry, I don't remember).
A variation of the personal flag of Marshall Pétain can be a good choice also.

Even though looking at it makes me somewhat ill from the implications, the new British flag is a pretty neat idea. Though in reality, if the flag was changed it would probably be the British Union of Fascists "lightning bolt" flag.
