I wish I had map making skills like that. I would have so much fun making up borders, creating and destroying countries...*sniff* :(

Trois couleurs …

Hawaï controlling the Malaya trade center right across the channel was an inacceptable situation for France. They reopened the hostilities on the 13th of May 1695, destroying a small Vinlandic fleet and crossing the channel with 33000 men. The combined Vinlandic-Hawaïan army of 25000 was routed and fled to Malaya city while the French besieged Johor. Two years later, after the fall of Johor, league force left Malaya to elude the French superior army, around through friendly British Indochina and occupied Johor, to cross the channel. Nava superiority had been restored and French Palembang was besieged. By 1700 occupations across the channel had simply changed.

Toamasina, belonging to French ally Portugal was easily taken by a Vinlandic invasion force, defeating and slaughtering 13000 Portuguese regulars.
Mahe, Bourbon, Mauritius and Diego Garcia were soon after to surrender.

In Europe the first hostilities were on the sea. The French home fleet of around 25 war ships was in the port of Kales or Calais, out of reach of the Vinlandic fleet, at least double that size.
Admiral Einar Sørensson then successfully applied feint-retreat tactics. He left one or two shipsin the area, seemingly sailing from Bruges or Antwerp to London and back. Once the French fleet had sent out a small fleet to seize the ships, the entire Vinlandic fleet pounced on the French, usually capturing a few of the French ships. After most of the French fleet was neutralised, a blockade was imposed on the northern French coast. These dozens of small defeats lead to the French people losing its trust in the leaders of their countries military insights and more people were demanding a peace with the league.

(Vinlandic WE 6.75 (after ending the last war with 13) French WE already 10!)

The Vinlandic naval efforts were keeping the nation in its grasp. The second fleet, 30 warships, 32 transport ships carried invasion troops to Madeira and the Flemish or Canarian Islands. Both were taken without much trouble, and the land offensive by 1700 was planning to push for Lisbon to take Portugal out of the war by attacking its capital.

Somehow, Castille and Savoy got into a war with France. This was great news for the league, one might think. Castille was completely and utterly humiliated. Within one year, 80 percent of Castille had fallen to francophone soldiers, leading to the cede of Andalucia. France still had a superior land army of 180000 well trained soldiers.

France was in a bad state. Although they had early successes in Malaya, Vinland had avoided any battle of importance since. When the small Vinlandic squadron in the Malaya Chanel was defeated by a large Portuguese fleet, French troops could once more cross the Channel. They however suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of rookie general Arvid Magnuson in October 1700 in the battle of Siak. Magnusson took full advantage and defeated them again near Malaya city and Johor.

In February 1703 the invasion army landed near Porto, immediately stormed the walls and and securing success pushed forward to Bragança. It took two years to defeat Portuguese armies, who were outnumbered (most Portuguese armies were blocked in Northern Africa), and French aid.

The main French army was in Austria, fighting was against a weak foe, that was attacked by French ally Poland.

In February 1705, ten years since the war had started, Portugal accepted defeat.

Austria was defeated, France made peace with another enemy, Great Britain, taking some gold.

Victory for Vinland against France on the other hand was very close, and King Napoléon XI would have agreed with any concession, in order to be able to deal with huge unrest and instability.
It was time for a final master stroke.
The invasion army landed in Normandie, while a cavalry army of 20000 invaded the south through Spain. Normandy was quickly taken, and wit most of his army in Austria, Napoléon agreed to the Leagues demands.

Next: The Great War (requiem)
(Democratickid, I meant that update :D

The Great War (1711-1729) (requiem)
Phase 1-2-3

France was in a sorry state and had only its grand army to thank for keeping the nation together. There was huge instability, war exhaustion (still around 12)
As soon as the cease-fire ended, Vinland declared was on Siena, protected by France. (thank god for the fabricate claims mission)

Normandy was occupied at once by France, Vinlandic forces had retreated without any battle to Brittany. Again, the French home fleet was destroyed within a few months.
France, now at war with the league had made a number of enemies in 1705, and was now drawn into a few other wars, and last but not least, losing its powerful Polish ally! Brabant, a dominating regional power in northern Germany and the Low Countries, had its entire army at its French border and went to war with France in 1711, a few months after the League. (Both Brabant as France were actually defending a smaller ally.)
The French Home Army was basically split up in 3 parts 60-70k soldiers in the north, near Paris, 50k at the Austrian border and 4 times 10k in the south.

At the battle of Atrecht (Arras), the French army invading Flanders was attacked from two sides and soundly beaten, to the surprise of entire Europe. Chased after, it was annihilated and crippled the whole defence of France.
Without hesitation, the Vinlandic Invasion Army, stationed in Brittany, marched its 45k troops south and east and took whatever it could; defeating a smaller French force near Saintonge in the process.
From the Mediterranean coast, a cavalry force landed and pillaged and burned the countryside of southern France, slaughtering any newly raised regiments.

With the flawed defence, and poor state of the nation, France was now attacked on all sides by alliances including Austria (wanting revenge), Great Britian (wanting French but mainly Portuguese colonies, ànd revenge), Savoy, Castille (wanting Iberian provinces and revenge), a selection of German states (reclaim hegemony over HRE), former ally Poland (backstabbing) and Sweden (socialising with other nations).

Due to an event, the revolting province of Auvergne gained indecency somewhat easier than would be the case without the war.
Austria kept the French army busy while Savoy started occupying southern France.
Within a year, the downfall of France was sealed, when ‘l Armée de l’Est was finally defeated by a Vinlandic-Austrian effort.

Thanks.

Any suggestions on what to do with last sixty-seventy years?
Castille must be taken out of S-America, but that's all my goals...

Given a map and a quick summary of what is wrong or right with the world. :D

In a controlling situation, the league signed a peace with France in September 1716.

In February 1717, the Netherlands did the same:

(notice the ressurection of old France (with the lilly) as an administrative republic.
New Republican France can't deal with the many revolts, and Normandy gains some more territory, for free this time.

(spelling mistakes in event not on my conto)

In April 1717, the league rejoins the Great War by declaring war on Mali, and its allies. One of which was coïncidently France.

I declared on Mali solely to get some more from France :D, I edited the text to make that more clear

Good job with France, just caught up with the AAR.

France balkanized - excellent :D

France reduced to a colourful jigsaw... good work :D

well, france is getting killed

Good job with France, just caught up with the AAR.

My, France is degenerating quite nicely! Good work! :D

France balkanized - excellent :D

'and that little boy that nobody liked grew up to be ... France'

Wow, that's nasty!
Now do that with every remaining nation! :p

Good plan! Running a bit out of time though. and don't forget, there's still a few years of Great War to go, after that, France isn't worth mentioning as foe in a Great War, then it's just bullying some ordinairy country named France for its pocket money.
