I started up a game as France, and I got DoW'ed by Ethiopia, who proceeded to crush me with waves of 10k stacks that had 6 shock generals. Every game I play, no matter who I play (even the Maldives!), Ethopia beats me up. Why is Ethiopia soooooo hard?????

If anybody needs to be nerfed, it's Riga. I mean come on, that Monastic state routinely fields 300,000 men and their stability cost is effectively zero. It might not be so bad, but I routinely see a Riga/Ming alliance forming around 1475, and when that happens, well the world is pretty much screwed (well that is if Ming doesn't collapse at any rate). That said, I should also warn everyone about Galicia, for the love of God do not let those guys revolt.
In other news, my birthday is in a week, on the 14th, which will be 942 years since the Battle of Hastings. Note: I was not at that battle.
beware of Albania.. If you let them revolt, they get a super general Skenderbeg. They took over the whole OE.

Forget Albania, watch out for Corfu. Their general will actually pop out of the monitor and pummel you The Ring style if you dare lift a finger against him.

Grenada is way too powerful.
I like it though, cause with Castille destroyed in most games there is more free land to colonize for me!
Yeah, most of my games involve Grenada taking over the Iberian Peninsula and France really early. If anyone needs a nerf though, it's Gotland. Those crazy motherfuckers just go around slashing up everyone West everywhere. Most of my games see Gotland taking over Germany, Italy, the Balkans, and Lithuania and then terrorizing the East. Is this WAD?
In one recent game, Gotland and Riga made an alliance and took over all of east Europe by 1500.
By 1600 Gotland had taken over the British isles, Netherlands and half the HRE and Riga had pushed east and was bordering Ming.
Then they got a personal union and Gotland inherited Riga!!!! It was the biggest AI empire ever, and was busy mopping up Ming with multiple 80k stacks when I just gave up. There's no chance I could beat them.
I bet if the game had continued Gotland would've had a WC.
They really need to buff Castille and Portugal. It's just plain impossible whenever Granada decides to go to war.
Once in a game as Castille I had by 1450 an alliance with England, Portugal, France and Burgundy and when Granada attacked we very nearly won after a long fight but each with a WE of 15+ and no armies/ships. After which ofcourse a monster Riga declared war and proceeded to annihilate us.
