Several things you ought to know before downloading :

• System recommandation : Over 2Gb RAM •

• Check you have installed the July 22nd, final 5.1 patch or the August 6th, beta 5.2 patch of DW
• On first installation of MEIOU or, later, on installation of a new DW patch, perform the 4 Gb Fix on the eu3game.exe, even if you do not have 4Gb of RAM.
• For safety, make a copy of your DW folder
• Download it some place, like on the desktop.
• Delete the previous version of the mod
• Copy the contents of the downloaded zipped file to your main EUIII directory (you can use 7zip).
--- Check that you have the MEIOU Launcher in the main EUIII directory
--- Check that in the mod folder, you have and MEIOU folder, and a MEIOU.mod file
• Install the Hotfixes linked in this post
• Click on the button "Initialise Map" of the Launcher, even if it is already done from a previous version
• Click on the button "Initialise Graphics" of the Launcher, even if it is already done from a previous version
• If playing with the official 5.1 patch, use the appropriate button (aka the third button) of the MEIOU Launcher
• You might need to delete the MEIOU cache files (using the Launcher)
• Pick a font for the map
• You might experience memory issues when playing with SRI AI. If so, simply use the Launcher to remove SRI AI (using the setup event will not suffice).
• Launch the game
• Have fun

Several things you ought to know before downloading :

• Check you have installed the Apr 29th 4.1b patch of HT³x
• Download it some place, like on the desktop.
• Delete the previous version of the mod
• Copy the contents of the downloaded zipped file to your main EUIII directory (you can use 7zip).
--- Check that you have the MEIOU Launcher in the main EUIII directory
--- Check that in the mod folder, you have and MEIOU folder, and a MEIOU.mod file
• Click on the first button ("Click here on first install") of the Launcher, even if it is already done from a previous version
• Use the Launcher to play with TOT v3.0 or HDM v2.30, for the first time, even if it is already as you wish
• You might need to delete the MEIOU cache files (using the Launcher)
• Pick a font for the map (the AM Map Bold and Aquilline fonts can prove not to work)
• You might experience memory issues when playing with SRI AI. If so, either :
--- for 32bits computers, try the solution in George LeS' post
--- for 64bits computers, try the solution in SnakeByte99'post
or
--- simply use the Launcher to remove SRI AI (using the setup event will not suffice).
• Launch the game

Several things you ought to know before downloading :

• This works only for peoples playing final INx v3.2.
• Always delete the previous version before installing the new one.
• Turn off trees and advanced water.
• In some cases, you might need to delete the vanilla and the meiou cache folders - path calculation may require some time.
• If you use Vista, you might need to hit the Window button during the loading to avoid a crash.

Installation procedure :

• Check you have installed the v3.2 patch of INx
• Delete the previous version of the mod
• Download the file some place, like on the desktop.
• Copy the contents of the downloaded zipped file to your main EUIII directory.
--- Check that you have the MEIOU Launcher in the main EUIII directory
--- Check that in the mod folder, you have and MEIOU folder, and a MEIOU.mod file
• Open the MEIOU Launcher
• Click on the top button ("On new version, click here")

DELETE THE PREVIOUS VERSION BEFORE INSTALLING V1.2.3

1. The positions.txt file is complete only for port positions
2. Some people experience a crash while zooming on some areas of the map (mainly the Balkans)... under investigation.
3. It is highly probable that many province history files need to be corrected
4. If your computer is low in performance, the mod might not have a bearable speed
5. Some other things I can’t think of right now…

Here are some corrected files for creation of the Kingdom of Italy and for westernization, while waiting for the next version.

Installation:

I've nearly forgotten the most important hotfix... solves the crash when hovering the mouse over some trade goods in the province panel.

Until further notice, before each game, you need to delete the \mod\MEIOU\gfx\flags\flagfiles.txt file

Possible hotfix for the "crash on second load" issue

To test it:
> download the file at the bottom of this post
> copy/paste it in the \mod\MEIOU\common\ folder
> delete the two files \mod\MEIOU\gfx\flags\flagfiles (dds and txt)
> load the game
> exit to desktop, and reload

Awaiting the one i'm adding to the next beta, FelisSilvestris made a small executable that, after being placed in the EUIII directory and opened, deletes the flagfiles.txt file (to avoid a crash) and loads MEIOU (bypassing the launcher step).

My mistake... the MEIOU_launcher directory is empty. You can download it here and decompress it, and put the .bat launcher in your EU3 main directory.

Hotfix1 for MEIOU:JV v3.0.4

Download the folowing fileand put it in your \MEIOU\missions\ folder, overwriting the previous one. This will stop the "effect_title mission spamming, and possibly some CTDs.

After learning about Ziff Davis Media's plan to suspend FileFront at the end of March, the original founders of FileFront made the decision to buy it back [...].

We're happy to announce to the gaming community that as of today, April 1st, 2009, FileFront is a completely independent company again and is no longer part of Ziff Davis Media. All previously suspended services should be active and working again.

Hotfix1 for MEIOU:JV v3.0.5

Kaiser64's report has, apparently, helped me solve the problem of crash when loading a new game starting after 1500, and possibly the one happenning late XVIth/early XVIIth.

After looking around, i'm unsure why, it seems that the synthax of the Engineer Corps was now wrong. Anyways, here's a hotfix to solve the issue.


Installation :

• Download
• Un-rar the hotfix1
• Copy the decompressed folders into your MEIOU directory

Appears the Enginner Corps national idea-related idea was not caused by the synthax of the idea in itself, but caused because of a non-updated event file. Hotfix1a corrects the files back to what it should be.
