The MexicAAR!

Mods: SMEP + DAIM + CCIP + New Nations (all packaged together)
Style: Gameplay and Screenshots


Here will be a glorious (or not so glorious) story of Mexico. The game will be modified slightly, but only in the interests of a fun game. I'll help myself out some, but I'll also hurt myself if it comes to that.

But first I'll set some goals.

Goal 1: Survive

Goal 2: Get all my cores (I've added a few )

Goal 3: Dominate Latin America

Goal 4: Take down the Yankees

Goal 5: Won't get past goal 4, so a goal 5 is silly



Beyond the first addition of cores, there will be no cheating. I might give some Latin American countries some extra cores, but none for Mexico. None. Nada. Nyet.

Anyway, without further ado, here comes the AAR.

Here's my nation. A small green nation surrounded by a blue monster above (1936 and still over 100 IC in use ), and a lot of wimpy nations below. And some Euro colonies.

Here are my cores. All the wimpy countries below and a few islands. When all are taken, I will get 75 IC, about a third of the USA's.

Here's my government. Ruled by Russians. Well, more like A Russian. Just one for the whole government. I hope he can handle it.

To start with, researching industry should be good, since I have enough troops to conquer Central America, and techs are bad for building troops.





Now that we have the boring stuff out of the way, its time to strategize. For now, I'll go for the Central American nations. They should be easy to conquer, since their armies will be as bad as mine, plus 4 times smaller. As long as the US doesn't interfere (*crosses fingers*) it should be a cakewalk. So...

Declare War on Guatemala, all good so far.

Invade the country.

Fight Fight Fight!!!! Win Win Win!!!!

I had to go for Guatemala, I don't have a navy. And going for the Americans first either gets you killed right away or makes the game and insta-win. Neither are fun.

I did the very same thing before I bought HOI2 during the Spring and Summer of 2005. Those were in version 1.1 of vanilla normal HoI2. The game has come a long way from those days...

Its now March. Germany's reoccupied the Rhineland, I occupied Guatemala. The US has ~3 divisions. I have ~5. I still need a lot more if I want to take them out. Plus a navy would be helpful. But for now, its a simple plan of continuing down Central America until I reach the panama canal. So let's go

Honduras is attacked

You think its over, don't you. But there's even more.

After conquering Central America, Mexico got bold and decided it should take on a part of the US as its own. So we claimed the southwest.

What's Next for Mexico? Will we impulsively invade the US? Will we build a fleet and sail to Cuba? Will we sit on our hands and do nothing? Will we attack Columbia? Do even I know what I plan to do next? Well, I know the answer to that one, and its a resounding NO.
