Download 1914 Version 0.43

It sounds like something hasn't been deleted or followed properly if its saying missing carrier escort. Nothing personal against you, just wanna help and yeah its frustrating!

Its my suggestion, but others probably have other thoughts but create a new manilla copy (being the original). Name it something different in case you overwrite both (which I have done at times). Then apply the latest patch., being v1.3 for doomsday

To locate Hearts of Iron 2 Doomsday
Open Windows Explorer. Search for Program Files. Then "Paradox Interactive", then the corresponding file for Doomsday which be "HoI2dd". I only have HoI2 original and HoI3.
Open the file and you will see the folders:

* \ai
* \db
* \music (only if you use the 1914 music pack!)
* \scenarios
* \GFX\Interface\models
* \GFX\Interface\pics
* \GFX\Interface\tech

Delete the folders. Whole.

I also have the problem of the missing escort.txt file. Its full path is 1914/db/units/divisions... I tried to copy the escort file from Armageddon HOI and got 1914 to start, but now it crashes as soon as the ingame time begins to run

Try this, some others on the forum might know otherwise:
1. What's your Armageddon version number, you can find out by opening up readme under the Armageddon folder or ingame on the main screen is on the top right corner. Download the patch to update it to 1.2

2. Then download 1914. Make sure you select the DD/Armageddon version instead of HoI2. Follow the same instructions deleting all of the files in the previous post. Don't use a file from a different game because it will make it crash.

See how it goes, let us know. Do you have just Armageddon?

Alright, I'm really excited to play this, but every time I try to load a scenario of any kind, an alert pops up informing me of an error with the options "abort" "retry" or "ignore." No matter what button I press it crashes.

I'm using the HOI version on XP and have tried re-downloading several times.

Where have I ruined everything?

The whole mod is still heavily wip. And there is not only no Canadian government....

While some of the problems I had were a bad install, it seems to work now, although the Canadians still have no government. Not a big deal.

There is no Canadian government, because noone made one yet.

That's why Canada & many other nations are still ungoverned in 1914.

playing with austria-hungary, its 1919 now, defeated germany, holding almost all europe, and im getting ''Austria-hungary defeated'' events, releasing bulgaria, serbia, etc. Why? How can i change this?

For whatever reason, the game never ended for me. It's 1941, I'm playing as Germany on 0.43. I've conquered all of Europe, all of Asia (including the Middle East), all of Africa, most of the Pacific Isles (including Japan and Hawaii), all of South America, and right now I'm working on Central America and the Caribbean to invade North America. Not complaining, I just thought it was kind of funny.
