    Chapter one: Euro Strike

    July 5th.
    Brussels.

Gordon Brown was furious. But tried himself not to let it show. The world had changed imensly over the past 4 days, and he could do nothing about it.

He sat in his large chair in the Emergency calling in Brussels. Watching as the "Real" Europeans argued amongst themselves. His attempts to be noticed so far had been unsuccessful.

Angela Merkel was clearly in charge here, she had already put forward the idea of a joint German-French-British strike to take out the United States navy and trap the American forces in Iraq.

So far the United Kingdoms only success of the war was the ability to keep Canada safe and out of it. The House of lords had agreed 2 days earlier to cut off contact with Canada, as not to anger the Americans.

Nuclear forces were on full alert, missiles were pointed at the Europeans heads. The Russians were mobilizing, with no hint as of what part they would play. Thoughts raced through Gordon Browns head. Operation Caesar Calls was about to begin.

    Operation Caesar Calls

German Euro Fighters guard the British and French fleets.

On the First day of the battle, 56 American F-15's were shot down either on the ground or in a dogfight. The dogfights were spectacular, fast and deadly. The Germans lost on 12 of their own aircraft.

After the first day of the battle, the skies were undoubtedly German.

Other successes on that first day was the moves of the Royal Navy.

The HMS Ark Royal and the HMS Illustrious, backed up with HMS Exeter, HMS Southampton and the HMS Nottingham. 2 Aircraft Carriers and 3 type 42 destroyers had ran into American vessels. In the battle that took place, the USS Carl Vinson was sunk. It was a tremendous victory for the Royal Navy, and the United States was beginning to ponder evacuation of Iraq, before it was too late.

The French also made their moves that day, the French navy had begun to evacuate the British Forces who had managed to hold Basra. French Special forces had landed, and now the British and French forces were in a duel to the death against the Americans.

French Special forces landing in Iraq

On July 21st, the United States of America went to Defcon 2 for all forces.

    July 22nd
    London

In a stunning day for Anglo-Russian relations, the Russians sign a friendship deal with the British. This move is a clear attempt to anger the United States. It has become clear which side the Russians will be on in this war.

Is it wrong that this thread gives me a giant patriotic stiffy? (Royal Navy chowing down on the USN? )

What's happening in the rest of the world? What's China doing? Japan? India? What about the Commonwealth? I imagine Canada especially in the tricky position of declaring war on their head of state or getting curb-stomped by their southern neighbours. Is Iraq gearing up to kick the occupiers out? Afghanistan?

    The Evacuation of Basra

British forces escape Basra to the French Transport vessels.

Brown was confident. He ran the line over and over in his head, "Wars are not won by evacuation". But perhaps in this case- it was a incorrect statement.

Sadly, to make sure the British forces were not hit as they escaped, a small force of 200 troops held Basra to the death. In their death came great honour, true heroes of the British had perished to save the lives of their comrades.

The last of the British forces. There were no survivors of this brave team.

    Russia Invades Afghanistan

British troops are in Helmand province under attack from Afghan rebels as well as the United States Army.

There was a hidden deal in the Anglo-Russian friendship deal. This was it.

The Russian army plans to Invade Afghanistan, rescue the British forces and pull out again. To avoid war with the United states, the Russians declare war on Afghanistan only and add in a statement by Putin, "Any fire to us will be returned upon."

George Bush is stunned and calls not to declare war on Russia as of yet. Instead Focus on getting American forces out of the middle east before it is too late to save them, massive operations have already begun in Iraq where the American army is trapped.

    In other news:

Operation Caesar Calls is working as planned for the EU. The American Navy has fled leaving the Army alone. Their only hope is air supply from airbases in Isreal, and how will the EU react to such a move?

And with all this going on, British Radar picks up large American movement heading towards the British Isles. An American counter-attack is about to begin.

I will try to not use nuclear weapons as I continue. Otherwise this AAR will be very short. Another update soon.

The EU? Bugger the EU, they're already in a shooting war. I see this as potentially destabalising the Middle East. Like, more than usual.

    Merkels Trap.

It is Germany's time to shine. German Intelligence had been feeding the United States false information for a month about the North Sea. The north sea supplied a lot of Britain's oil, that was also used to power France and Germany and other Minor European nations.

Germany had already attacked the US in the north sea before, suspecting them of launching a pre-emptive attack on the oil fields. Now, Merkel had laid a trap. The battle of the North sea was about to begin.

    Germany's Plan was as follows.
The False intelligence stated the German air force was out of action, and the Royal Air force was backing up attacks in Afghanistan. It also said 3 of Britain's carriers were in the Persian Gulf. This was incorrect, only 2, the Ark Royal and the Illustrious were away, whilst the invincible was armed and ready. The RN also had 12 Frigates ready, and France had 1 carrier, 5 destroyers and 10 frigates.

The Navies would allow the Americans to come as close as possible until they were in range of the German and Dutch air fields, when they would launch a joint operation with the RAF to take out all of the United States ships. The Spanish and Italian navies would then block the retreat up into the north sea, resulting in a huge defeat of the United states, and leaving its navy incapable of attempting an invasion.

At 5:00AM, August 12th, the Spanish and Italians were in position. The Americans were in range of the Airfields. Merkels trap began.

The United States Navy, heading right into the trap.

In the first few hours, 2 United States Carriers are sunk. Along with 4 Frigates and 6 destroyers.

RAF Harriers manage to win the day with their German and Dutch Allies.

By August the 14th, George Bush calls for a full retreat. He sees it as a clever move, hoping to save the rest of his ships. Hours later, the Spanish and Italians made their moves.

The Spanish and the Italians halt any of the American ships escaping.

The EU's plan has been a success, with very little losses of their own. Only 13 EU ships had been lost, none of them carriers.

The European Union rules the waves.
    For now.

    Merkel announcing victory.

Quick question. How is the EU able to win a war against the US? I mean the US has a larger navy than the ROTW I thought, and not to mention that the significant advantage in numbers in Afghanistan and Iraq would kill a decent amount of the EU armies.

Hence why they have evacuated and cut off their supplies.

Don't worry, things start off bad for the Americans but it won't always be like this

Merkel doesn't look too happy for a victorious leader.
