I think they should finish what they have now. Moving the date earlier would be pretty hard with all the formations, HRE positions, all sorts of things like that.

One thing that needs to be considered take into account of using EU3 as the basis of simulating the European situation prior to the 15th century is that the HRE in EU3 is designed to reflect the HRE as it was from about 1495 to 1806. The further you go back before that period the more you need to think about creating events etc to make the HRE behave differently.

My suggestion would be to concentrate on getting the game working well from 1356 onwards as a first step, and then looking seriously at how the HRE is to be modified to be realistic at an earlier start date.

Well could you not just have a nation "Holy Roman Emperor" give it a new government and then after 1495 say, let the HRE as it is already ingame start working, I'm guessing that you can get the HRE to be formed if it can be dismantled.

Well I would suggest finishing everything and making it perfect before anything else is done... I would much prefer a finished version.

As I mentioned earlier, I plan to get a version that's as 'finished' as possible before I make any other major changes. Especially because I have another mod to work on.

These are all my files.

It includes:
- World War I
- The finished history files (ownership dates need to be changed)
- Some new units
- Austria-Hungary (MonMarty) and Republic of China (Jookes)

You just need to copy and paste all the files in the sub folders into your WWM files (maybe back-up WWM just in case) and everything should be playable)

Been playing this mod recently and having a lot of fun as the colonial power of Portugal. Fantastic to see an update, just downloaded it, although I'm not entirely sure what to do now. The downlad only seems to be a single RAR file (nearly 7000KB) and I can't find a suitable file in the original mod to replace it with...
