Hi,
Before all, please, excuse my english.

I'm playing In Nomine as the France.
The Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire was (and is still :( ) the king of Bohemia :
Václav IV

In order to be elected after his death, I made all my provinces join the Empire.
And then, I paid every electors to have a relation with each of them around 180/200 ...

Every 8 of them are backing France for the throne.

Some months ago Václav IV died and Zigmund Ist became King of Bohemia...

But there is no election and the king of Bohemia keep the Emperor title :-/

Is it a bug or did I miss something important ?

Thanks to ones who'll help me.

(I hope i'm understandable)

Yes, you're understandable :)

Did you have a Regency Council at the time of the election? Regency Councils cannot become Emperor.

No need to excuse the English. Even if it was terrible, it would be a bit silly for us to expect perfect uniform English on the website of a Swedish game. :)

the DIP(or ADM?), stat of your Leader is very important... if he has very low DIP(or ADM?), noone will vote for you.

I just had it in my spain game... my leader was like 3 DIP(or ADM?) and i wasn't emp. he died, i got an UBER-leader( like 8-6-6) and i was made emp ( with All but 1 vote) Plus, i noticed my relations with all of the voters were like 160-190 without me donating anything :)

Non, i'm not in a Regency Council.
I'm in 1420 and my king is still Charles VI

The ADM/DIP/MIL of Charly are : adm 3 / dip 3 / mil 2

Could this be the reason ?
Despite I can see this ?

If HRE elections are bugged, I could change it in the save file I guess.
But I just wanna be sure the problem is not my king.

Can you advance it a month and then post a screenshot? Or upload the save game file and I'll fiddle with it and try to figure out what's going on.

The HRE elections also seem bugged (not yet fully confirmed), check the bug forum for details:
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=361172

If you go down to my last post and check the screenshots (or just try to duplicate it yourself) I think you'll see that there are some pretty severe problems with the HRE elections, although I don't think this guy's problem necessarily relates to that bug report.

It doesn't change anything for the next month.
In fact, the king of Bohemia died the last October.
I was waiting the end of the month... but nothing happened...so I was waiting the end of the year ^^... but still nothing.

Here is my save :

I must wait the next week to read the bug forum,
I just have a new home (my own \o/ ) and lot of things are still in my father's house.
And I need to recover my EU CD to enter my key.

well, you're king IS a problem, emperor or not :D

Well I loaded up his savegame - He's playing the game with historical monarchs and such. I'm thinking that this is the cause of inability to be elected emperor of the HRE rather than some bug, as I can confirm that electors appear to at least vote for who they are listed as voting for in the HRE screen, even if they are otherwise pretty much broken.

Case closed I guess.

If you want to fix this, open your savegame file in notepad, and change the first three 1's in the game options section to 0's, like so:

Currently you have this:
Code:
    setgameplayoptions={
1 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 2 0 1 1 0 0     }
}

It should be this if you want HRE elections to work properly, I think.
Code:
    setgameplayoptions={
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 0 1 1 0 0     }
}
If this doesn't fix it post again and I will fiddle around some more and see if I can't figure out what is going on.

This should probably be added to the bug forum if this is the problem, though, as I can see how it may be misleading. If they're just going to vote historically (or if the historical emperor will be elected regardless) then they should either list the actual successor, not list anyone, or have a disclaimer in the HRE screen stating as much. Or all three.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I'm going to keep the historical booleans in the code.
But i'm changing this :
Code:
emperor="BOH"
by this :
Code:
emperor="FRA"

The event will not really appears but I guess the result will be the same.
Unless the event of becoming Emperor give some bonus when it appears ?

I will just have to change it again if I loose the next elections.

Thanks again for all your help.
