    *some fancy name* - a Mongolia Kaiserreich AAR.

    Ok, so I decided to play a game as Mongolia after hearing their national anthem on Youtube (link)... And I realized there is no better mod for a Mongolia AAR than the Kaiserreich mod! I'm playing with the following settings:

    Hoi2 DD Armageddon 1.2
    Kaisereich beta 3b if I'm not mistaking
    Normal/Normal, with the twist that Democracy can declare war. Other than that, everything is just as normal.
    I have also changed Mongolia's color with the one of Qing Empire, but I didn't notice that Alash Orda have same color that I have so I'll try to draw some lines at the border whenever it's necessary. Or just wipe them off the map

    I have no house rules or anything like that, but hopefully I won't do anything too gamey.
    Anyway here we go! And if you haven't listened to the national anthem yet, DO IT! It's beautiful. Also I'm not good at writing so I'll limit the AAR to mostly comments and maybe some small discussions.

    And so here it is, the Mongolia AAR. First, let's start with the country setup. I have some changes. First, the slider move. I'm impressed by these great sliders that Mongolia start with, but there is one thing I don't like. Mongolia needs left-wing politics! Therefore, I changed the political slider one step towards Political left.

    I also changed the Chief of Army;

    Minister of Security;

    and Chief of Staff as I think the older ones weren't... optimal for my planned empire;

    Research:

    More to come.

    Hmm, also wondering, does anyone have a good name for the AAR? I was thinking of Regaining what is lost. Everybody who knows anything at all about Mongolia should be able to guess what that title is referring to

    Here's an overview of the surrounding area:

    Dark Blue = Mongolia
    Dark Green = Russia
    Light Blue = Alash Orda
    Green/Brown = Xibei San Ma
    Light Yellow = Tibet
    Pink = Nepal
    Gray/Green = Bhutan
    Red = Shangqing Tianguo (spelling?)
    Orange = Yunnan
    Light Green = AlgOstAsien, German puppet
    Grey = Qing Empire
    Purple = Germany
    Yellow = Japan
    Brown = Manchuria, Japans puppet

    First event, and it's already getting hot here. Of course we need to unify ALL of the Mongolians! This is Mongolias first, small step on it's way back, after endless years in the shadows of Russia and China. Meanwhile, the mongolian cavalry divisions are being upgraded to modern standars.

    An envoy is sent to our tibetan brothers in... eh Tibet, asking for a military alliance in case of war with the chinese warlods to the south. Tibet accepts and are given blueprints of Early Mountain Division as a sign of our friendship.

    After upgrading all cavalry divisions, production of a new cavalry division and two industries is ordered. If Mongolia is to compete with it's (mostly) evil neighbours, troops and industry will be required.

    And so it it happens, the reaction of Xibei San Ma was as expected. WAR! A quick strike against the important city of Urumqi is launched, as well as an attack against Bayan Nur which is strategically important. Mongolian cavalry enters Urumqi on May 4th without meeting any resistance at all, and ten days later, Bayan Nur is secured too.

    Even before war started, Mongolia had plans for quickly overrunning Xibei San Ma:

    1. Red
    2. Orange
    3. Light Blue
    4. Light Green

    Far away from the frontline, two industries are finished, and construction of four new industries starts.

    I plant the flag as first poster!!

    Looks cool, I really loved the anthem.

    Hopefully you can take your lands back, then maybe start sorting out the situation in China.

    Interesting concept, I love AARs about tiny, unusual or underused countries.

    Looking good.

    Hmm a Mongolia name:

    Temüjin Rides Again!
    Panzers on the Steppes
    For a Tumen of Tanks

    Honestly, I like the current name. "Some fancy name" is very subtle, yet it shows some uniqueness. Besides, it's funny.

    The anthem is wonderful, isn't it?
    I've got a pretty tough goal when it comes to land, let me show you
    This is the Mongolian empire at it's peak.

    ... And, in HoI it would look something like this: (sorry for the huge pic)

    Dark blue is what i start with.
    Light green is my current claims.
    Light blue is, roughly, the Mongolian empire that once was. This is my goal. And I will make sure that this goal will be reached. At least I'll try my best

    Ragnos:
    Thanks, although Mongolia actually have a lot of potential in Kaiserreich. They aren't that weak to be honest. Just need to keep an eye on the russians.

    Duke_of_BOOM!:
    I must say I like For a tumen of tanks and Panzers on the steppes. I'm not sure if I'll use tanks though so I'm not sure if those names are good after all. However if I change the AAR's name to one of those, I'll HAVE to use tanks. Could be interesting. But as Mr. Mauser says, the current name is a unique one and also ironic because I have bad imagination. Maybe I'll just leave it be.

    rcduggan:
    I'll do what I can to make sure that there will be a new Mongolian empire!

    I'm also wondering how I should do when I've conquered more land. Should I make some custom events that lets me "incorporate them" into Mongolia, thereby giving me more national territory, or do nothing about it? I was thinking of adding, say, a couple provinces every second/third month or so as national provinces after I've been controlling the area for some time. Gamey? After all, it has once been Mongolian lands

    I say yes, give yourself cores after a period of time. The territory really wont be worth the TC drain and occupance if they arent contributing a good deal.

    Oh, and great start, so far. I'll following this!

    If only I can avoid the russians until I'm strong enough to take them on, then I'm sure that the once proud Mongolian empire will be completely rebuilt. Hopefully expanded too.

    On May 25th, the new cavalry division is deployed at Yusun Bulag, commanded by Lt. General Choibalsan. Sternberg's cavalry divisions in Urumqi begins to move towards Korla just as planned. However, they later lose Korla, overwhelmed by the chinese and therefore retreats back to Urumqi.

    As a response, the troops in Yusun Bulag is ordered to strike against Qumul. The battle is short and Mongolia is victorious. Sternberg orders his cavalry to Qumul as well after retreating to Urumqi.

    A total of five industries is now in production.

    While the chinese focus on Korla, it is decided that an attack against Dunhuang is needed in order to easier reach Xibei's capital, Golmud. After taking Dunhuang, Sternberg launches an attack on Golmud. Success. Immediately after reaching Golmud, troops are sent to Xining and Xibei San Ma is annexed on October 11th.

    Sternberg is looking at what could be improved in Mongolia, and the first thing that comes to his mind is the lack of resources.

    Then I get this strange event... I have already defeated Xibei San Ma, but still there are mongols IN Xibei San Ma who have been fighting against the government? The first choice gives me +3 belligerence I think and I don't want any more of it so I chose alternative 2.

    After the annexation of Xibei San Ma, it is discussed what should be done with their lands. As we are mongolians, there is only one option.

    Wonderful!
    Another Kaiserreich-AAR.
    Never played with Mongolia so far, but it seems to be an interesting nation.

    So is this Kaiserreich or ATR?

    Anyways, you have great ambitions. I myself would make events giving you claims to your historic lands, although not all at once, maybe when you capture all of the provences of a certain region you gain cores for the next, or the other way around, when you conquer a region, you gain cores on the preceding one.

    Anyways good luck! This looks to be a long but interesting road ahead, hopefully successful!

    Could you also show us your government?

    Edit: Also looking at your current prediciment, I wouldn't go for the Blitzkreig Focus Doctrine, you arn't in an area goof for tanks, and that doctrine is only good of you are able to make quick rapid assaults. You are way out in the boonies, and it takes much time for you to get from one place to another. As muc has I hate it I'd suggest you go for the Mass Assault Doctrine, or for Grand Battle Doctrine.

    Admiral Yamamot:
    Thanks, I've tried Mongolia one time in an earlier version in which i eventually took the entire Eurasian continent
    I wish that there were more events though, but I know the team is already working hard on the mod so maybe it's asking for too much.

    Maj. von Mauser:
    This is Kaiserreich. I have ATR too but since most of it is already in Kaiserreich I usually just use Kaiserreich instead. I'm thinking of slowly giving myself cores as I take control of new areas, not sure how quickly it should be done though. As for now I'll most likely let it take a year or something before they become cores.

    Also, the reason to why I'm using the Blitzkrieg doctrine is simply that I start with it, and it actually works pretty nice with cavalry. Most likely, however, it would probably be better with another doctrine, but now that I've already played until, uh... 1939-something with this doctrine, I don't want to change it now anyways. Also, I'm planning to make use of those tank bonuses later

    I'll post an overview of the government with the next update which will probably come later today. Thanks for showing interest.
