I have begun some sparse work on a scenario that would be set to begin in 1700. I have one major question, would anyone be willing to work on this with me? I'm not that great at editing as of now and also would love to share some of the work. If you are interested please post in here. I hope I can get some of you.

Yes, me too (interested. 18th century).

I'm very good with maps, and for the most part you are 100% correct. California missions did not surface until the time of the American revolution, they didn't exist in 1700 of course.

Texas settlements were a little bit earlier but not much earlier.

Arizona and New Mexico, modern day, in the 1680's the Apache's and Navaho were in revolt against Spanish rule. I don't think these two rebellions were squashed until the 1720's. Maybe Spain should start off at war with the Apache.

And remember the great northern war and the war of the spanish succession were just starting in 1700. obviously a focus of the first major events.

But regarding your map: Arzona and Wyoming should be toned down a bit, and remember Georgia was not colonized until 1710 or 20, and North and South Carolina didn't even exist - they were just collectively called the colony of Carolina.

Everything else doesn't look all that bad

EDIT

And French coaling stations forts missions and trading posts should be more in existance than owned provinces, and mixed up so the French player can't just claim colony after colony.

Looks really nice. But what have you based your scenario setup for Africa on? You placed some nations really weird.. And you forgot alot of other small nations that on the map would own like 3 provinces each.

Vicky is only suited from the time of the industrial revolution and limps into the modern age where HOI picks up. Feel free to try this, but honestly I'd do a EUIII mod before trying something like this.
