Ok, I decided to start this again, because in my other German AAR things were just too easy for me(difficulty lvl was very easy/coward :x).

In 1871, when Prussia won the French 2nd Empire, The German Empire was formed in the Versailles palace. This was a tough kick for the French people... They want vengeance!

In 1914 Europe could've been described as a "powder keg". The Balkans were the most un-balanced region of all of Europe. This is where a war would start... in any time soon.
Germany was allied with Austria-Hungary and Italian kingdom, the triple alliance, but Italy's place in the alliance wasn't so balanced. Italy was more democratic than Germany or Austria-Hungary and the alliance wasn't reformed. Could Italy leave the alliance?
There was two major alliances in Europe. The Dual Alliance and the Triple alliance. Dual alliance = French 3rd republic and the Russian empire, Triple alliance= Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy.

nay, there wont be. And im not going to lure any allies. I'll just let them come from events. Well if AI refuses to ally me from event i might lure. :P

"A new year has started again, hopefully it'll be more peaceful than last year with Balkan wars." The Kaiser was thinking. "I wonder how my good friend Franz Ferdinand is doing.. I hope he's fine... Oh and soon the throne will be his. Ach how wonderful it is."

The unbalance state of the Balkans has driven the German industry to research some war technology, also economy must be handled.

30th, January 1914
The three vessels that were patrolling the world seas: SMS Dresden, SMS Karlsruhe and SMS Königsberg rebased in the port of Walvis Bay in German south-west Africa, in case of a possible war the ships can invert the supply ships that are trying to go around south Africa. They can also defend our colony against a possible amphibious strike! The vessels were united as " Afrika flotte"


And some global news. Italy's struggling against rebels in Libya! The Great Osman refuses to buy the ship! Some political arguing in Russia! Military Junta in Peru!


A Monarchist coup in Sweden! Norweigian goverment shocked! The Italian army defeated the rebels of Libya! Ahmed Izzet Pasha as King of Albania?!? The Ottoman General Ahmed Izzet pasha was crowned as king of Albania, the Ottoman-Albanian relations were warmed.


As the months passed, German high command decided to reinforce the colonial empire. German East-Africa gained 4 divisions under command of Mj. General von Lettow-Vorbeck. The Kaiser is very proud of the colonial empire, especially Tsingtao with its cruiser navy under command of vice admiral Scheer.

Late March, 1914
The German Empire has strenghten her defences in the colonial empire. German East Africa, with von Lettow-Vorbeck, has got more divisions to defend the vital colony. So as German South-West Africa and Kamerun. Only Togoland, Micronesia and Samoa are without defence. The port-town of Tsingtao is defended by one Jäger division + a cruiser fleet commanded by Vice Admiral Scheer.
The German imperial embassy achieved information from Britain:

The United States seize Vera Cruz! The Mexican civilwar still on!

The Austro-Hungarian high command sent us a telegram. Serbia must be wiped from the map! The Germans are supporting the Austrians.


The shots of Sarajevo
June 28th, 1914. Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife were assasinated during their visit in the capital of Bosnia, Sarajevo. The murderer was arrested and soon the police found out that he was a Serb. The Austro-Hungarian court was shocked and asked immidietly German support against Serbia!


Austria-Hungary want's our support! Mein Kaiser, what shall we do? The Austrians are our beloved friends! Support them! So the German Empire supported the Austrians!


The Serbs rejected the ultimatum and asked for Russian support! Russians supported their brothers and Austria-Hungary declared war! WE ARE UNDERATTACK!

The war has started...

Now when Germany is in war against France, the chief of army, von Molkte searched for the old documents of the Schlieffen plan. "Forty days there shall be!" he said.


Sweden has always had good relations with Germany. The Kaiser ordered to ask the Swedes to join the war, and offered Åland for them. Shame that they refused.
The Schlieffen plan has just started and over 60 divisions are steaming ahead and rumbling Luxenburg and Belgium. Great Britain has guaranteed the Belgian independence... naah they wouldn't join an inner European war anyway.
But they did join! Cursed British, they lured the Japanese with them! Now the Kaiser's colonies in pacific are in great danger!

Now when British are in the war the German imperial high command decided to sign some treaties with the Ottomans. With their help the British'll have to send their forces to defend the over seas empire and we can win in the western front!


To ensure the alliance with Ottoman Empire the Kaiser decided to give orders for the Mittelmeer division, SMS Göben and SMS Breslau, to sail full steam towards Constantinople,Istanbul, and join the Osmanli Donanmasi!


The war in the west isn't going so greatly we imagined. We need more men to succeed with the Schlieffen plan!


Ach nein! The Schlieffen plan failed totally, we underestimated the French!


After a few bloody months of the war, the Ottoman Empire decided to join the Central Powers!

Anyway, good that you didn't get Sweden on your side. I did it and they were losing to Britain so badly I had to send precious divisions to support them.

I'd suggest to focus fully on the Western front and defeat France ASAP, they're the most dangerous enemy.

You're doing great in Africa, if you keep it up, the British will focus on this battlefield and leave you alone in Europe.

E: and for that sweden thing. I used to send whole german fleet to Kattengat and block the way. And then British didn't even send their grand fleet to destroy mine :s

Sure, I meant if it becomes too easy even at this difficulty.

The Western front is always insane - it's a meatgrinder.

November, 1914
As the war broke out three months ago, both sides were sure that the war would be over in a matter of weeks. The situation in the west has gone more desperate due to the failure of Schlieffen plan. We had to transport troops from east to west. Paris must fall! But leaving the east could cost us. Gladly the Ottoman Turkey decided to join our side. Russia must move troops from our border to the Caucasus.
In Africa, von Lettow-Vorbeck has lead a succesful campaing and conquered Uganda and Kenya. In German south-west Africa Major General Zimmerman has captured almost all South-Africa.
In the Ottoman army there are two German field marshals, von der Goltz and von Sanders, who are in charge of the Middle-Eastern theatre. Von der Goltz shall remain in Iraq and von Sandels shall capture Suez. İsmail Enver Pasha shall remain in Anatolia and lead the attack in Caucasus!

The Ottoman strategy was succesful! The Sultan-Caliph declared a holy war! The Islamic world is shaking. Yemen declared herself neutral, well we don't need them though.


Ach, unmöglich. The British schweine made an amphibious strike in South-Africa. They have garrisoned 11 divisions there. Mj. General Zimmerman is angered to the lousy work of the Afrika flotte to keep the cape safe. We must try to destroy their supply convoys then.


Ach.. it's useless. Dig fortifications now! The both armies got bogged down. We must defeat Russia so we can free our men from east to west!


Ach nein.... the situation in South-Africa has gone bad. We must try to get Zimmerman with his 3 divisions to German East africa and try to hold it there. Afrika Flotte was underattack by a large fleet of British battleships and cruisers. We must escape to Tsingtao.
