Good, you've liberated the Portuguese people and its colonies from the opression of Salazar.

Remember, both Timor and Macao are good bases to liberate China and India from the monarchist yoke.
Salazar, aka "the Slytherin", will only be the first in a long series of despots deposed! ...we hope.

But China? India? Easy now. For starters, our TPs can't reach india from neither of those (I think), and now that Bengal has fallen, the fight in India is postponed for years probably. Not even mentioning China...
We'll settle for having somewhere from where to strike Australia... ;)

Well, the Princely "Federation" would be a Die Hard one, but China is divided and weak, the Legation Cities (light blue) has taken the southern coast of the German Protectorate in China(light grey), and have no more the support from Germany, the AlgOstAsien(sp?) and the decaying Qing Empire will be diehard ones, with the support of Germany"

The other options are Siam or Bengal.

But now, let's wait, and build up more our army.

Aye, that last sentence of yours is the key I think. Beating up a small country near us was far more trouble then we awaited, I can't even imagine the problems it would cause to invade anything in the far east right now.

Navy and Army (with many a convoy if rebasing the later off-Britain is ever needed) are the priorities now.

...although we can't let Canada build up for much longer...

Hah! Whole india is under Princes! But you have very strange-looking west Afrikan colony... :D
That's because the darn portuguese folded and sold part of it to mitleafrika. Now I can't release it either.

Maybe I could just create a new country, by fixing the revolt.txt?

Something like People's Union of Angola? You colud do it - and the actual Angolan flag fits well for that kind of country.

Maybe just give the territories to Mozambique, create a bizarre bi-coastal African Syndicalist state? :)

It'll look better in a few years once you've crushed the capitalists in between. :D

Great update again brother!

You have inspired me to play kaiserreich, but instead tried to give our monarchist scum a go, and man, your navy is outdated, i expected to see canadia with maybe 3 - 4 BBs, but i see atleast 12, and scarily 4 CVs, good luck brother!

Aye, they have a nice flag. And I shouldn't have said "new country", I meant just to fix angola's revolt provinces.

sonsoftauru's idea also crosed my mind, but it would be just too strange - and I bet Mozambique wouldn't even build enough transports to supply any troops I landed there someday. And we never know when Mittleafrika may need a trashing

Ho, and thanks for runing the surprise for me Gigalocus :p ;) (j/k)

I don't see the problem with Britain keeping some excess territory here and there. After all, you never know when you might need "bases." Besides, what's wrong with an empire as long as it's a Syndicalist one. ;)

And I imagine the Socialist festivals in Portugal will be very different in this timeline. :p

Empire, No!

I am shocked, shocked to hear talk of empire! Friends and fellow workers, we should resist the temptation of empire. Let us help free the people of the former Portuguese colonies and help create new free states. If they request our assistance for development and defense then that is upon their decision.

India is reunited, but how could you let it not be under the Syndicalists???? :p

Yes, yes, certainly. These "Empirial" talks can only be understood by the lingering remains of old mindsets from royalist times. We'll have none of it.

What we will do, besides helping the Peoples of Portugal, Mozambique, Angola and other nations strong enough to resist the capitalist-imperialist preasure build their own syndicalist societies (given our experience) is to support by direct military presence those nations or territories too small to resist the enemies of the People who reside nearby (German China, Australia...)
And, of course, mantaining the vital bases of the Azores, Cape Verde and S. Tomé also require a considerable presence, for wich the local populations and the portuguese naturaly gave us the necessarly large administrative powers.

The question here is - how could we have avoided it? It took the losing of India to learn the importance of strategic bases for the People's Cause to survive. The delusions of those who thought the People's War would always triumph just for the superiority of it's values, have finaly been washed away for good - although the Bosheviks in Russia should have already thought us that lesson.

Indeed. The Revolution is a fragile crimson flower surrounded by nasty Imperialist ungulates.

Better grow some spines!

Look at it rather that the Revolution in India will no longer have to worry about pesky borders and the like. Plus the real threat was the government in Delhi that was tied to Canada and the Royalists. One united India, under the corrupt Princes is fertile ground for a nationwide ground-up revolution, with experienced Bengalis leading cells/unions across the subcontinent. While some may have chafed at Syndicalism imposed from without through Bengali military liberation, it will prove stronger to have it rise from within. :D

Just to point out the AAR isn't abandoned. On the contrary, I want to play more of this game and report on it very much. It's just that I haven't had any free time for playing this. There's either people constantly interrupting me, or places to go or things to do. :(

Cool update, can't wait for the next one. Britian is gaining it's colonies back 'eh?
