    Na Mp Mod

    Well.....

    First off...

    THANKS TO DARKEN FOR THE NA FIXES

    And anyone else who helped with them


    In NA MP i have gotten sick of the crazy ai problems and prestige bug, so....This is just a mod created with Darken's Fixes (nothing special like previous MP mods)

    I realized no one had created a specific mod for these files and they were only being used in existing mods and by people in single player. But it is way to difficult for everyone in a mp game to get them all in correctly.

    I could use a couple people to test it and en-sure that saves will work with it before anyone uses it.

    Once again, thanks to Darken.


    1.2-
    Adapted files to patch 2.1, added event to reveal provinces you gain but cannot see, changed bill of rights and Humanistic tolerance NI's a bit so they are more useful.

    I am glad i could fix the game for you if only slightly thanks for the recognition. good luck and if you have any questions let me know. hopefully MP issues will be fixed in the Nappy patch, if so i might try to play

    Well, i just simplified the process for some people, the credit really goes to you, I only spent about 3 minutes on this

    It seems to be stable so far with saves.

    well, i have many projects goings on right now so this is good that you could do this. Even with the little time it takes to package this mod it would be the straw that broke the camels back for me basicly. I have already too many projects lol. I have three mod folders i regulary work on and many other small projects

    the good thing about this is that it will help fine-tune the fixes i made. I also anticipate that we will still need some of the fixes after the patch so this project is not finished IMO after the 2.1 patch.

    Basicly, by providing this mod, you will be one of the forerunners in improving it and further patch 2.1 versions. I believe this because MP brings more communication and although i have gotten input from SP users on my fixes, it has not been much.

    EDIT:

    I have also been thinking that the player fixes need to be broken up into two modifiers and no longer just one. The reason being that right now the player fix reduces land_forcelimits by 30% which is good for nation of 7 provinces or more but could ruin a 1 province minor player nation. I am thinking the base player modifier would have no land_forcelimit reduction and then a second one with 30% land forcelimit reduction will take effect after the player gets 7 or more provinces. The reason a player reduction in land forcelimits was needed (IMO) was because of the major reduction in AI armies with my fix. I suppose that if the AI land forcelimits were trimmed a bit (less reduction) then maybe no player land forcelimit reduction would be needed.

    I have not tested either of these ideas yet but i probably will depending on what other people think about it.

    I think that we can increase the ai troop levels a little, they seem to go slightly under what they used to be for me.

    as you are the third person to think this (including me), I will update my files and do some tests and hopefully release it soon. I will also do the second player fix i mention.

    I have lowered the things that the player gets since this will be for mp, did nothing to the ai though.

    ok, i will have the new files uploaded and posted on the temp fix thread soon. I will also describe the improvements i made there.

    -second player modifier to prevent the player from being gimped if they only have 6 or less provinces.
    -slightly less tech costs for small AI nations, slightly more for bigger ones with a overall slight decrease for the AI in cost.
    -small and medium ai nation will have slightly bigger armies, big AI Nations should be slimmed down a bit.

    if you are still interested in using my fixes for the MP mod in 2.1 here is my fix status:


    These are the methods i am going to use to run my next full game with patch 2.1 (none of this is realy tested yet other than troop/navy levels):

    i have ran some tests on troop sizes/navy sizes. this seems to be unchanged in 2.1. I reduced the forcelimit reductions by about 20% (AI and player get more troops slightly). This is due to easier peacedeals.

    prestige seems to be fixed so it is removed from the fix.

    blockade effects are removed from the fix beacue AI peacedeals should be easier.

    it seems like inflation/minting may have been fixed so i removed the inflation reduction.

    I think AI technology levels will be slightly higher in 2.1 so i reduced the tech bonuses somewhat.

    Its going to take me a week or so to iron out these new changes before releasing a 2.1 fix. I am certain that AI troop/navy levels have not been changed in 2.1 so if you used those effects from my fix before you may want to again in 2.1.

    My new fix is done for 2.1. I am going to call it a 2.1 tweak micro-mod now because although the issue i adress are major, they no longer ruin the game IMO.

    prestige seems fine in 2.1 but in TN i have reduced decay in the static_modifier.txt. no prestige changes in the 2.1 tweak.

    stability seems almost perfect in 2.1 so no need to include stability fixes.

    only AI army/navy size and AI tech levels are adressed in this 2.1 tweak. However, a player tech cost reduction may be needed, possibly something around 15 to 25% (-0.15 or -0.25).

    AI nations of 75+ provinces still have too many troops but maybe in time i can iron that out.

    blackade reductions for AI are no longer needed due to better AI peacedealings.

    I have finally decided to put the 2.1 fixes in. And.....Uglyr's fix for undiscovered provinces!

    But wait, there's more! I will try to give those pagan rascals in the new world hope for a better future!
