DV : Fatal error

Out of interest did you have the latest drivers installed?

Mmm, yes. I did that just three weeks ago on my old PC, I still had fatal errors though but only when I use my mod. With a vanilla game of almost 100 years I didn't have one, after installing the latest drivers

On my new laptop I now had 1 fatal error in 160 years of gameplay, and that with a modded game.

So for me personally I am happy cause
a) My mod doesn't seem to be the cause of my fatal errors
b) I can now fully enjoy the DV-expanison, cause with the relationship-bug fixer I no longer see strange vassalasitions.

Of course I hope that the cause of the fatal errors for other people will be found quickly.

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus. I bought DV last month and was playing merrily along until yesterday, when I started getting the memory errors:

under "Standard" version

A couple things to note. I get the crash A LOT. Like 1 every 2 - 5 months. Also, it doesn't seem to be tied (yet) to any particular activity. I can be just scrolling around and it will freeze up. Finally, when I downloaded the latest patch to see if that would help, it just changed the address of the crash. Up to then, they'd all been at "0x0058FE4D".

A few more things I've noticed about this error: 1) It seems to be getting worse as I progress in the game. A few days ago, it crashed maybe once a night. Now it crashes sometime before a week (of game time) has passed. 2) It seems to require that the clock be running. I went away for a few hours with the game running on pause. Came back, played 5 minutes, and it crashed. Saw that a couple times.

I really hate to, but I'm going to have to quit this game for a while. Maybe this will be playable after the next patch comes out. Right now, it isn't.
