Calm before the storm (5)

On the annual meeting in 1940, the government decided to pass laws to let people in Cantonia being more equal. As a result, gender, races, religions and age above 18 can no longer be a reason to fire employees.


On October 26, Greece joined the Allies to seek for aid. However, Gaan Gwok-dung thought that this was only a quick way to kill Greece herself.


About a week later, the Axis declared war upon Yugoslavia.


Considered that both China and French Indochina was rescued from Japan, Cantonia decided to leave the alliance. This act quickly passed the Parliament, and Cantonia left the alliance. Japan sent an angry protest to Gwong'zau, but they didn't declare war upon Cantonia, just like they were planning an attack towards other and didn't want to sent their troops elsewhere.


After a year's hard work, shipyards in Cantonia finally completed the construction of Aircraft Carriers. Those Carriers were sailed back to Gwong'zau and reqroup. This giant ships caused several chaos among the coast as not many civilians even see such a giant ship.


After 50 days of battle, German Armed Force destroyed the last Yugoslavian resistance, and officially annexed Yugoslavia.


Since Japanese Navy would no longer protect the coasts from enemies, Cantonian Army announced a temporary coastal defence plan. Several coastal provinces were ordered to form civilian garrisons and guard the beaches until soldiers can be deployed there.


To stablise the balkans, Germany cerated a puppet government in Croatia.


After months of battle, Italy finally occupied Athens, and annex Greece. As usual, the Allies didn't help much.

To secure the coasts as fast as possible, the greatest mobilisation in the history of Modern Cantonia thus was launched. Near a million soldiers would be enlisted to the army in a year.


On June 22, Germany launched a plan called "Operation Barbarossa", and assaulted several Soviet outpost in Poland. This two great powers were in war. No matter who finally win the war, countless civilians would be killed for sure.


Finland joined the Axis a week later, probably to regain her lost lands from Soviet by German.

Crush3r : Nothing, actually only the IC used to equip those massive infantries had drained up all spare IC. The situation might become worse when I need to upgrade all those 151 divisions...... :wacko:

I did that, as I like Germany more than Soviet Union.
But it seems that it won't help, as Flanders were bombed back to stone age by Allied bombers.(IC dropped to about 0 at some time)

Also, I didn't ever see AI Germany liberate puppets (except event).

Miihkali : He would be in the office later, although I think his name and face was a bit strange...... yet we can't judge one by his name or face.

Sir Kenny : I will, but probably not now, since all IC is used to build infantry, and after new type of infantry weapon is developed, more IC would be used to upgrade them.

Now I know why playing USSR could be painful.

I would do so when there are spare slot, but I am afraid that there are not enough technologies to work on.

I once planned for the Pax Cantonica, and the part of Northern China is ruled by Kingdom of China, with the five colour flag :

But thing might change in the time we can work on it, so it might not be a must.

I still prefer a Constitutional Monarchy as they can keep a king with a better reason, also, Monarchy is always cooler than republic, isn't it? :rofl:

I am working on the "Kingdom of China" for about an hour. Surprisingly I found out that most Ministers in Manchukuo don't have sources on Wiki or Google, and those have one, mostly were not in Manchukuo that time , or even dead long before 1936. (Japan must have developed some zombie technologies!)

After searching most names of those ministers, I found that the one who should be in the cabinet would be Aisin-Gioro Puyi (I'm sure you know him), Zhang Jing-hui (Chang Ching-hui in game), Ishii Kikujiro (not quite suitable indeed) and Aisin-Gioro Xian-yu (Kawashima Yoshiko in game, she is a female and is a princess of Qing Empire). After stuffing them into the new cabinet, there are still three empty slots. (Head of Security, Chief of Navy, Chief of Airforce, and Aisin-Gioro Xian-yu have to work on 3 other places too)

Edit : I stuffed all ministers from Jin Clique too, and now the cabinet is full.

Kingdom of China as her greatest extent. (Ignore the blue Japan) Although I wanted to let her claim all the land Qing Empire once had, but that would result in a too powerful nation, and a terrible borderline.
Whatever, Kingdom of China would have 70 IC if she is liberated now, and have all her land back, and 64 without Soviet Far East and Sakhalin.

Darn, even 25% partisans in the whole northeastern is easier to deal than creating a new (AI) nation. :wacko:
