Since only the choice with 4 or more ministers' support is a war against Chinese Soviet Republic, a war only with her will be started.

Piko : Minister, probably not, unless one of the minister resigned or something. :(
But I could add you as a leader and/or a character in the novel part. :)

Piko : I will try to do so. :)

Viden : Yes, I hate Chinese Communist ( or "Socialism without socialist characteristic" ) too.

Greater Cantonian Republic

Interbellum (3) - War with Chinese Soviet Republic
(1938.11.16 - 1939.01.22)
(After all, not much people know or recognise Chinese Soviet Republic, and I bet that you won't heard of she either if they didn't win the war in real life.)

An article from Gwong'zau Times said:
The investigation of the sabotage in Soeng'hoi was done, and the report was released yesterday by the government in Soeng'hoi. According to the report, this sabotage was performed by an agent from Chinese Soviet Republic. The government later sent a protest to Chairman Mao, which requested him to apologise to Department of Intelligence R&D, the owner of the workshop, and sent all spies back to Haam'joeng. The speaker note that if they do not accept it, further action might be done.

The deployment of Cantonian Army, just before the war began. The idea of this deployment was to prevent any enemy soldiers get a inch of land from Cantonia.

Interbellum016.png

Since they didn't response about the protest by Cantonian government, at 8 o'clock on December 3, Cantonian government officially declared the state of war between Cantonian and Chinese Soviet Republic.

Interbellum017.png

Cantonian Army engaged CSC garrisons at the town of Ping'loeng. Although their base was heavily fortified, the weak garrison still cannot stop Cantonian advance. Ping'loeng was abandoned an hour later.

Interbellum019.png

On December 23, Gaan Gwok-loeng entered Ping'loeng.

Interbellum020.png

After the 4th Army secured the region of ping'loeng, Gaan Gwok-dung decided to launch an assault against the rest 2 communist base. He explained that attacking province by province was too ineffective, and a longer war means more civilians might be killed or injured. After 6 hours of battle, communists lost all their bases, and started fleeing between the mountains.

Interbellum022.png

On January 9, General Miihkali, with his Saandei Lipbing, liberated Haam'joeng, the ancient capital of the Qin dynasty.

Interbellum023.png

About two weeks later, 6th Army, led by Lieutenant General Reno Vercetti, captured Jin'on, the last base of communist forces.

Interbellum024.png

Interbellum025.png

After reinforcements arrived at Jin'on, and the mysterious disappear of Mao Zedong, Gaan Gwok-dung annourced the annexation of Chinese Soviet Republic at Haam'joeng.

Gaan Gwok-dung said:
"Some argued that whether Chinese Soviet Republic was a ture Republic, or even a nation. I personnally think that she was a real nation, but not a real republic. As least I have never heard a single republic which will be such a dictatorship. However, this is no longer a problem. Since the brave liberators of Cantonian Army have liberated all the mountainous area which once controlled by those Communist, and the Chairman Mao had alrealy fled, I, president of Cantonian Republic, announce the official annexation of Chinese Soviet Republic."

As Chief of Navy, I would like to congratulate my colleagues in the Land Forces for their good performance against a well entrenched enemy. Long live Cantonia!

BTW, what is my minister doctrine?

Nice update again! How about great purge of communists in whole Cantonia? If I can estimate about them, it think some 10 per cents of people of Cantonia are communists and another 10 per cent is "unreliable" people, so we need purge all them. If it means lost of 20 % our manpower, it's just good thing, because in future they can revolt and cause much bigger manpower lose!

(Miihkali is really paranoia-guy)

DarkReborn : Cantonia never had good relationship with Joey :)
And if he decided to steamroll China, he will know there are somewhere bigger than Siberia.

Crush3r : :)
Your doctrine is School of power projection, as same as Long Ling's.
You might change it if you want.

Miihkali : :D
Believing in Communism or other stuffs are permitted in Cantonia, as long as they don't try to put it in pratise. Gaan Gwok-dung thinks ture communism seldom work in real life, and the only one he knew to cerate a "quite successful" communist state was Robert Owen, and he bankrupted eventually.

I think we should suspend Miihkali before he does something stupid. He is begining to sound like Stalin.

The so called communists of China and the Soviet Union are not following even Socialist guidelines.

I'd rather suggest we use subtile propaganda means to make it clear to the population that Mao was not communist.

Greater Cantonian Republic

Interbellum (3.5) - Aftermath

1939.01.22 1509
An underground room, Jin'on

Sounds of explosions and gunfires were spreading through the caves, announcing the assault performed by Cantonian Army earlier this day. After hours of battle, many communist soldiers were fallen, and the Cantonian forces were approaching the underground hideout of Mao Zedong, the Chairman of this republic. As he was one of the most valuable leader of Chinese Communist Party, he was preparing to flee to his secret hideout in another mountain. While he was packing everything he needed to escape to there, suddenly a phone rang.

"Who are you?" He picked up the phone, as this might be a call from the frontline.

"Do you believe in reincarnation, chairman Mao?" A male voice in the phone asked.

"Never! A true communist would never believe such a thing!" Although he thought this is a weird question, but he still answered.

"Too bad."

"What a strange cal......"

While Mao Zedong was muttering, suddenly something exploded behind him. He was shocked and fell to the ground. In the meantime, he saw a soldier in gas mask ran away with a long metal pipe. He wanted to shoot him with his Mauser C96, but he cannot find it with so much dust in the air.

"Damn! I must leave now!" He thought, immediately stood up and ran to the exit. However, after a turn, he engaged several more soldiers in gas mask, and they all carried a long metal pipe.

"Who the he......" Mao Zedong yelled, and ran back in the same time. However, his leg was exploded, and he felt to the ground.

"Too bad you do not believe in reincarnation." One soldier said, with his metal pipe smoking.

"Our metal pipe is bigger than yours." Another soldier said, "As we don't encounter trouble entering here."

"Who are you!" Mao Zedong yelled.

"Liberator." The third soldier said, and raising his metal pipe. "With a 13mm gun."

Edit : I hate Mao Zedong.

"With a 19mm gun."

You mean 9mm, don't ya? 19mm is not recommended for hand-wielding.

Probably 19 is a bit too offscale, but I think a giant gun with more than 12.8mm would be nice for Mao Zedong.

Nah, do it in style, kill him with a silenced 9mm, so he doesn't even hear his bringer of death.

Maybe, but I prefer a more explosive dead for him. As he doesn't deserve a dead with whole body(something most Chinese care the most).
