I find myself agreeing with you. While the alliance with the Japanese Empire was beneficial for Cantonia and the liberated areas of China, the Japanese are sure to pick a fight they can't win at some point and drag us down with them.

Now most of them love our nation, and started judging whether Democracy or Authotorian suits them better."

Since the fall of Chinese Soviet Republic in January, many socialists in Cantonia thought that a purge might come to them later, and some of them started reacting a bit too nervously. I can understand your fear, since many communists were killed in this war. However, I think that you might misunderstanded some things. First, all communists killed or executed in this war, had commited several severe crimes such as murdering civilians or performing sabotages. Also, I don't think the Chinese Soviet Republic is a sicialist nation. As far as I know, socialism should be spreading the idelogy of equality and freedom, but Mao Zedong and his men were murdering freedom and equality in the "Soviet Sector". This obviously is not socialism nor communism at all. Although it seems that the best way to achieve freedom and equality for Cantonia is still unknown, I hope that socialists can find out the way, and bring this way to everyone in Cantonia.

On October 29, Cantonia developed a new weapon called "Tank" or "Panzerkampfwagon" in Europe. Despite that this new kind of weapon shows how powerful a rapid assault it can perform, Gaan Gwok-dung thought that this weapon will not perform well in the mountainous terrain of Asia.


A new oil field was found in Naam'coeng. This will probably boost the industry of Cantonia, as there were not many oil field in Asia.


Soviet Union asked Finland to cede some lands near Leningrad, and Finns didn't threatened by the mighty Red Army. The Winter War thus started.


On December 12, the second industrial expension was done, and now Cantonia can support 5 projects to work in the same time.


Also, the new factories boost the productivity of Cantonia, and result in a huge naval expension, which included 10 Aircraft Carriers.

(OOC : I decided not to write about several minor technological advances, as no one actually cares.)


For some reason, Germany decided to invade Scandinavia on January 22. Norway and Denmark joined the Allies later. Gaan Gwok-dung believed that they would be dead meat, just like Poland.


Surprisingly, Denmark surrendered only 2 days after the war.


The appeasement doctrine used by Chamberlain was proven to be a huge mistake, and he piad with his career. Churchill, a much tougher man, was appointed as the new prime minister.


After countless failed attempt to breakthrough the Maginot Lines, Germany finally know the best thing to do now - Attack Benelux and attack Paris instead.


A new coal mine was built in Sai'on, and this further increased the production of Cantonian Coal.


On April 2, Soviet sent an ultimatum to Estonia. She immediately joined the Soviet Union "voluntary".


With the establish of French State, or Vichy France, Japan sent a telegram to Vichy and asked them to liberate Indochina. After Germany agreed this move, Indochina was immediately transferred to Japan.


Later, Siam joined the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.

Gaan Gwok-dung was sitting on his chair, looking at the Asia map on his table. The dark-blue belt lands south of Cantonia was circled by a pen, and written as "half-liberate". Suddenly, the door was knocked.

"Please come in." Gaan Gwok-dung said.

"Good evening, Mr. Gaan." Akira Kuroi came in and asked, "Why did you summoned me here?"

"I think you know, Mr. Kuroi." Gaan Gwok-dung stared at him and said, "French State ceded the Indochina to Japan, right? And Siam joined the alliance too."

"Yes......"

"And I heard that Japan wanted to cede Cambodia to Siam, and kept the rest of Indochina." Gaan Gwok-dung said, "You probably know that we had claimed those lands for years, and as the second strong nation of the alliance, why didn't we receive an inch of land?"

"You know, Mr. Gaan. Politic is merely a radical extend of Business." Akira Kuroi said, "Siam agreed to become our puppet, so we have to reward her. What did Cantonia gave to us?"

"Aren't those countless resources traded to you enough?"

"You said the word 'trade'. This is NOT a gift."

"Alright, Cantonia can give Japan nothing in this time." Gaan Gwok-dung sat back.

"Then may I leave now?" Akira Kuroi laughed and asked.

"Please wait, I have something to lend you." Gaan Gwok-dung said, and took out a black book from his briefcase.

"What's that?" Akira Kuroi questioned. The only words on the cover was '19400407'.

"Read the fist ten pages, and you will wish that you didn't read it."

Akira Kuroi took the black book, and started reading. As he flipped several pages, his face became more and more intense.

"You once studied in University, so I think you know what those numbers means." Gaan Gwok-dung smiled.

"How can you reach such a advanced technology......" Akira Kuroi were shocked. "If all in this book was true......"

"Think, what if I build this thing, and give you the authority to use it?" Gaan Gwok-dung said.

"I, I wanted to go back to Tokyo now. This is a serious business!" Akira Kuroi yelled.

"Leave the book here, or you will leave your head here." Gaan Gwok-dung looked at the book on his hand and said. After Akira Kuroi ran out of the room, Gaan Gwok-dung put back the book, and laughed.

"I won this gamble." He thought.

Crush3r : Not likely, Gaan Gwok-dung was scaring his instead, as Cantonia didn't get THAT advanced now. Luckily, Akira Kuroi once studied in University, and he know how nuclear weapon can be, so Gaan Gwok-dung can scared him easily with tons of it-seems-real fake information.
Whatever, when Japanese finally realise that, Cantonia might be able to PROVE this at Tokyo Bay.

On May 2, Japanese government announced that the rest of Indochina was rightfully belong to Cantonia, as these lands were home of a distant relative of Cantonese people.

On May 6, Soviet Union used the old trick to Lithuania, and the result was same. Later, Latvia joined Soviet Union as well. Baltic countries were no more.


Norway was annexed by Germany. Not many cares though.


Soviet Union was addicted to claiming lands from weak nations, this time the land of Moldova was ceded by Romania.
