The Great War, from the eyes of the Ottoman Empire (an ottoman AAR in mod 1914)

Hey everybody! This is my 1st AAR so it might be a bit ... well you know.. beginners. Anyway my AAR is about Ottoman Empire in world war 1.

The Ottoman Empire



It's 1st of January 1914. The people of the Ottoman empire are about to wake up for another day.
At 7am the sultan-caliph opens a window at the Dolmabahçe Palace.

"Aaah... another winter day."
"My sultan, would you like to breakfast now?"
"Yes, indeed". Sultan-caliph went to breakfast, and his serveant closed the window.

The Ottoman Empire

As days passed Ottoman armies marched at the borders of the empire. In case of a war they will protect homeland!

12th of January. a telegram from Brazil was achieved at the Ministery of War.

Enver Pasha:Yes we buy it!

5th of February, another telegram was achieved, but this time from Chile.

Enver Pasha:Of course we buy it our friends.
A few days later Ottoman Ministery of War achieved a telegram: "Unfortunately we have a better buyer than you, have a nice day "
What Enver thought about that is too violent to write in here.

The Ottoman Empire

Months passed peacefully until the gunpowder barrel of Balkans started to shake...

Austro-Hungarian Empires( that was formed from Austrian empire to a dual monarcy a.k.a. royal and imperial in 1867) leader, old Habsburg emperor Franz Josef (emperor of Austria, Apostolic King of Hungary) didn't have any idea what would happen in the future...

The heir to the thrown Franz Ferdinand was assasinated during heir trip in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovinas province. It was a shock through out the world. Franz Josef asked immidietly German help for further decisions. Italy(the 3rd member of the triple alliance) remained silence.

12 days passed..

The German Empire wasn't afraid to help their allies --> Austria-Hungary sent the ultimatum! --> Italy left triple alliance.

Crisis in the Europe!

A few weeks passed...

Serbia rejects the ultimatum! And asks for Russian help!

Russians are glad to help!

This is a tough situation for the Austro-Hungarian goverment, but if they leave it there... the empire will dissolve.

So... it means WAR!
Serbia activates alliance with Russia -> France and British Empire declares war on A-H, Germany declares war on Russia, Serbia, France and British Empire.

Meanwhile... the construction of Sultan Osman I (battleship bought from Brazil) was seized by British Empire! Those dogs!! They also seized Reshadieh!


Germany comes closer..

After the seizure of 2 of our battleships Germans came closer to us, they offer us an alliance. (including Mittelmeer division navy)



The Schieffel plan

Germany declared war against Belgium and Luxemburg, in hope that war would be over as soon as possible in west. Japan... the mysterious nation of Asia, declared war on Germany planning of conquering German Asian colonies.



The Mittelmeer division

Ah the Mittelmeer division has arrived in Constantinople. Two new ships joined the ottoman navy.


The War
Germans were stuck at the Belgian border, they could only capture Luxemburg, Russians took eastern prussia and bit from A-H, Serbia is soon crushed!

The Ottoman Empire
continues...

A few months passed. October 29th, a telegram from Berlin arrived to Constantinople. " We're seeking an alliance, remember we gave you Mittelmeerdivision

and promised your old lands"

Yes, Souchon shall bombard Sevastopol. In the name of the Sultan-Caliph!
and so, Ottomans were in war.

The Ottoman army started an offensive immidietly, to Kuweit, Egypt and Caucasus:

And achieved victory.

The war on inner Europe isn't going so greatly..



The Mesopotamian campaing .... Declare a Holy war..?

Sultan-Caliph: The jihad... shall be declared!
People of Constantinople: Woohoo! Long live the Sultan!

The Egyptian campaing:
The Turkish army has taken Sinais peninsula and are advancing towards Suez channel. British forces are trying desperately to keep the channel for the Empire. Turkish forces (under command of a german field marshal Liman von Sandels) engaded the British army.

and were victorious. The Suez channel is now under Ottoman control. The British empire has lost their most important road to India, that's one of the important colonies of the empire.

Unrest in Egypt!
After the succesful occupation of the Suez channel, Egyptian people started to wonder, are their masters (british) powerful enough..

War weariness!
Although the high administration told that the war would be over before leaves fall. It is December, both eastern and western front are bogged. Germany (well atleast i hope so) will concentrate their war machine on east to help the Austrians against Russia. What comes for Ottomans..? They take out Baku oil fields and liberate Egypt from British control!
