I think that maybe one tag should go for the communists in South Vietnam,especially after the new map is done.

I tried a lot to create a new map but i couldn't even change a province name, if you know how to modify the map (and want to do it) check this thread

Theoretically, I know how to create new provinces, and to chage names, but I do not have graphical skill to do that.

I'm thinking about.... adding a communist (Maoist) Philippines, the thing is that i want your opinion first. I know that the New People's Army was defeated in 1954, however what do you think if we add a new country with it's flag?:

It could serve for a splited Philippines (North, Communist) and South democratic.

EDIT: It could have even their radical muslim counterpart with this flag:

I didn't know we could create new countries so easily that we could do it for every historical possibility. If this is so UNITA Angola should definitely have one. Angola is a big deal and UNITA controlled around half the country by the time the 1979 scenario would start. There is an existing UNITA flag too.

Yes i know and i know what flag it is. Tell me what minimun number fo provinces should they have and i'll include it.

Minimum number? 2, I guess. 1103 and 1100 are the provinces that historically made up the core of their territory.

One suggestion for country tags: if possible, Yugoslav republics should have duplicate tags. Meaning, in addition to current tags (for example, Croatia, Slovenia etc.) we would have additional tags for the constituent republics of Yugoslavia: Socialist Federal Republic of XY. Communist Yugoslavia, as well as any communist nation occupying Yugoslav territories, could then release only these.

I thought of this mainly because of flags:

The current setting allows Yugoslavia to release Croatia as a communist puppet, but this nation will have the flag of modern Republic of Croatia. Seems awkward.

Yes you're right the problem is that if we add the Croatian Socialist republic, then we should add the Ukranian Socialist Rep. (along with non commie Ukrania), the Belarrusian Socialist Rep. and so on. Now we are running low on tags (only three user defined tags left) so let's give priority to the countries/factions (like UNITA) that trully existed in this time period or they were close to achieve their independence.

I suggest leaving a few tags unused. I hope eventually that people could play a normal HOI2 game and when the time period runs out, maybe 1960, 1970 or whatever, save the game, do a conversion routine, and then reload under your scenario. So you need a few unused tags for the ahistorical feed-ins.

I also seriously suggest making your list compatibe with the choices that Armageddon has already made for tags U70 to U99. (If you want a nation and it is in the Armageddon list, use the same tag number) For example Communist Vietnam (which ultimately takes over) uses the U72 tag. Also, Singapore, Jamaica and Trinidad have tags in that range, along with several other nations. The West Indies Federation (c. 1958) was quite real and ended up breaking up into Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados and I think one or two others. MEN, by the way is usable for a theoretical Inner Mongolia secessionist movement that apparently China takes quite seriously.
