    Sparta!

I've made the nation of Sparta(takes control of Morea in 1456) along with a sprtan tech group(it is equal to the LATIN TECH GROUP, however I had to create it to allow for the unique unit of the spartans the "spartans" its an unique master infatry unit that should allow you to secure independence form the ottomans to the north) If anyone is intereted in this let me know and Ill upload it, In the meantime how do I take a picture of the game cause Ill upload one on here so you can see Sparta)
Check out the MASTER MOD, its gonna make the game run from 50 AD to 2500AD any help making it happen is really appreciated PM me or post ur message here:

Easiest way to take a picture is to press the "print screen" button in game; it sends a screenshot to the clipboard, which you can paste into paint or somesuch. Then upload it to imageshack or the like.

I don't want to rain on your parade or anything, but . . .

You do realize that classical Sparta was at its peak somewhere around two thousand years before the EU3 timeframe? There was a lot of history in those two thousand years.

Furthermore, even if bronzed supermen from the past somehow did manage to make it into the Balkans of the 15th century, they would be cut to ribbons. Iron weapons, from the early roman period, stirruped shock-cavalry, from the medieval period, and firearms (heck, even crossbows!), from the early modern period, made the ancient Greek style of battle utterly obsolete.
Author of the ComboMod, the number 2 mod for Europa Universalis 3 in the three months or so just after release.

You're welcome to play the game (and enjoy it) any way you want!

There are generally two kinds of modders: those who create plausible, historical mods, and those who create fantastic, unrealistic mods. Both can be fun, both have their proponents. In the early stages of a mod, it's sometimes hard to tell which direction people are going in, that's all. As long as you realize that you're not going for realism, why not have fun and have Sparta?

A mod for EU3: In Nomine and EU3: Complete that enhances religion
Religious Minorities - More Religions - Religious Fervor - New Graphics - Hundreds of Events and Decisions
New In Nomine version released December 31, 2011 (less than a month ago)

Still playing EU3: Complete? Get my Magna Mundi Platinum 2 bugfix for religion and the Sengoku.

Your clipboard is the thing that contains your "copy" and "paste". You can access it from any program - the "print screen" effectively copies a picture of your screen, and then you can paste it into any graphics program (usually with ctrl-V). You can also use this to take pictures of your desktop, a website, or anything else that pops up on your computer screen, pretty much. Just press "print screen" when you see what you want, then open up a graphics program and "paste" in it. Will even work in Word.

I never claimed to be going for realism.....I may in the future try to come up with a realistic 1800s mod but thatll be well into the future

In terms of historical accuracy, and fantasy, I, funnily enough find the little spot in between. SOMEWHAT, historically plausible nations. For example, I added Saudi Arabia to my game, but did not make it so you can start as the country. What you must do to form it is either release it as a vassal(if you conquer Arabia, possibly as either the Turks or Mamluks) or form it, starting an Arabian minor (Hedjaz, Najd, etc.) Sparta is also not a bad idea, and maybe you could add a releasable Macedonia as well. =)

Arabia would be an interesting nation-state to have in the game - certainly the arabs are badly (but historically!) represented in this time period.

You might not want to call it Saudi Arabia, however, as the House of Saud doesn't exist yet in the centuries of the game.

EU3 is, in essence a huge "what if" scenario, so, maybe the house of Saud did emerge a few centuries too early? (Also, my Arab history isn't too good =P)

Well, the House of Saud emerged (as a noteworthy faction in Arabia) in the eighteenth century, their alliance with the Wahhabis is usually stated as beginning in 1744, leading them to take control of the Nejd...so a Saudi Arabia did in fact exist within the EUIII time period. Although, for a generic unification event, I would sya that just Arabia (or United Arabia, or the Caliphate, whatever) would be a better name.
