I'm pretty sure Novus Ordo is correct, I hope it is, I've used it before..

"Novus" and "ordo" are perfectly correct... it's the translation of "seclorum" that's off. It translates as "of the ages" (saeculum -> saeculorum, seclorum being a variant spelling). "Secular" is a term that, while derived from "saeculum", does so after quite a bit of linguistic transmission and wrangling. Yes, I suppose it does translate approximately, but very, VERY approximately...

Sorry about being pedantic here; normally, I'd let something like that go as being acceptable for story purposes, but it's a common misconception that I'm a bit tired of hearing.

(Interestingly, the poem by Virgil from which the phrase originally came could be interpreted as a Messianic prophecy. Far from being secular...

)

You're absolutely correct, Judas, which is why, if you'll notice, I didn't use Seclorum but Secularum (declined form of secularis), meaning of "worldy" or "of the world." The mis-translation of seclorum is a rather annoying misconception that sprang up from the cult of Dan Brown, rubbish author that he is.

On a side note, I'm not sure when the noun secularis entered the Latin language, it possibly (probably?) does not date back to Roman times but I've seen it in several modern Latin-English dictionaries so I went with it. The other synonyms just didn't sound as good.

Yep ! Nothing too serious . The serious thing would be the Wiki , this is just for fun XD . Going to add more characters as time goes by .
