Forum Rules and Why and How to Register your Game
So you have bought EUIII. Congratulations!
And now you wonder why you should bother to register it.
Why you should register- When you register the game you are allowed to participate in the discussions in the Multiplayer and User modifications subforums. Unregistered users only have read access.
- In addition to that, you gain access to the FAQ, tech support and bug reporting subforums. You will not receive any support on the forum unless you register!
- Note that registration of the original EU3 base, EU3:Complete, or EU3:Chronicles is required, just registering an expansion such as HttT is not enough.
- If you have the limited Collectors Edition you get access to a special CE subforum, where you get closer interaction with the developers. (As an example, there have been votes on new feature for the next update).
- You get a shiny silver (regular edition) or golden (limited edition) morion icon

Privacy issues
One common reply from people who don't want to register is concerns about privacy - "I don't want to give away my address so you can spam me with junk". Please take notice of this: By registering, all that is done is to mark your forum account. We do not ask for any names, addresses or anything beside the licence key. We already have your e-mail address from the forum account, and you aren't getting any spam from us there. Registering a game won't change that.
If you still don't want to register, you can use the Web form to get support by e-mail.
How to register
At the top of the forum page, there is a link named My Games. To register, you go here and enter your key. Note there's a separate code entry field for the EU3 Complete Edition from the base EU3, NA or IN fields, you may have to scroll down to find it.
If you have bought the base EU3 game in a store and have a physical copy, the key is on the back side of the manual (for the Russian version, see below). If you have bought the game from GamersGate, the key is on that website under "My Games".
An EU3:Complete box should contain an EU3 map, a page of Paradox lunchbox stickers and a single page Gamers Gate advertisement listing five steps for registering your game, etc. The registration code is located on this sheet of paper just below step 5.
Russian (snowball) version
We have received some questions regarding the Serials of the Russian version and how to register those with us. As far as I understand the system in Russia is a bit different.
The Serial you get is one valid with Snowball, our Russian partner. You need to register with them first and will then receive a valid key for the forums here. You can find their site here.

Reason: added EU3:Chronicles as valid base game
"The path of the righteous Member is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Admin when I lay my vengeance upon you."
