Ok, here's another essential mod. Ever wanted to try a HOI game a little bit earlier in history? How about 1914 to 1925! The Great War is a total conversion for HOI based on World War I.

A total conversion for HOI changing the maps/resources/technologies to WW1. Its a high quality mod based on a lot of work by Allenby and the rest of the TGW design team.

Could somone explain the differences between CORE 0.9 and CORE 0.91, or give a link to a site where it's explained?

I'm playing with 0.9, and I'd rather know what there is in the latter version before installing it, in case I wouldn't like the changes....

I far as i am aware core 0.91c is just an upgrade and fixs for core 0.90.

With mods you can always unpack them into empty new folders not your hoi folder and go through the contents checking things out before downloading proper to your hoi

If you don't have CORE, or you have HOI1 Platinum, you need to install version 0.90 and then the v 0.91 update. Both files can be found at either of the following sites:

How to Install:

Run corev09.exe to install version 0.90. Then run corev091.exe to upgrade to version 0.91.

What is CORE?
=========
CORE is a player-developed modifcation for HOI1 that adds a LOT of great gameplay features. It is still WW2, and is in many respects similar to standard (AKA 'vanilla') HOI, but with improved events, AI, and resource/IC layout.

There are many other good mods out there, but this one is a must-have for any player. Give it a try and you'll find out why it is the de facto standard for experienced HOI1 players.

Yes a fresh install for each different mod,But CORE should be loaded to Hoi1 with the latest 1.06c patch installed first.This thread has all the info.
