Go finish those Norwegians I wanna see the Aargau regiments slaughtering through the "Al"s

BTW, the football team from Aargau just saved it's rank in Ligue A in the draw round. It seems Aargau people are undestroyable :D

Two poetic expressions passing in the night.

Chapter 12: Akershus

As told with many pictures. And a moderate amount of words.

And another aspect of being Papal Controller is declaring crusades! And as crusades give me tons of prestige and piety for nothing in return I will always declare them!

ScreenSave93.jpg

Not that I'd even participate in this Sicilian crusade, no. Despite the fact that one of my provinces is on the island itself. The rest of the provinces are just so far down the list...

ScreenSave96.jpg

Meanwhile to Hermann's Ageni court I marry a Habsburg solely to continue the line of of Agen. This is solely to hopefully one day have a male of Agen in my court to whom I will give the County of Agen to.

ScreenSave97.jpg

Why yes, man who is known for his great skills in plotting, secrecy, and treachery. I will let you privately tutor my thirteen-year-old daughter in your ways. No wait I won't do that.

ScreenSave99.jpg

And I would call the Aargauan army heading north to besiege Akershus and the Norwegian armies moving south to besiege the King of Germany's demesne provinces two ships passing in the night, but my favorite poetic phrase is more aptly used later. Also this means that the best Norwegian regiments have left Norway proper, which means that it will be quite easy to take Akershus!

ScreenSave101.jpg

And as the Aargau regiment gets closer the Agder regiment joins them. Also now is the chance to call things two ships passing in the night, namely Petros's regiment, and the Norwegian army, who are now in the same sea province going in opposite directions. And as their journey through that one zone spans several days I assume there is a night involved there somewhere.

ScreenSave102.jpg

And the Aargauans land and do battle!

ScreenSave104.jpg

And Petros somehow learns something about strategy in a battle where the strategy of losing three men to every enemy killed is still a strategy that would work!

ScreenSave106.jpg

Which is cool with me.

ScreenSave109.jpg

Hehe. I don't think so, buddy.

If only the last name of the count of Akershus could be of Akershus. Then he could be Ake of Akershus Count of Akershus! But having one name match simply is not enough to stay my annexing hand, as we all saw when I took Agder from that of Agder guy. The answer will be revealed in the next exciting episode of Real Men Do It Alphabetically, an AARgau!

That Sune guy arrives in court. He's sceptical and lustful; obviously, we are in the presence of a master theologian.

ScreenSave174.jpg

I sent Elin off to be taught by the master theologian.

Oh, wait... that's not exactly a shining endorsement, is it? :eek:o

Real Men Don't Like Poetry... :D

That count Ake doesn't seem a bright chap, methinks.

please keep up the good (and alphabetical) work!

The Als begin next, right? That should be entertaining.

Undead Bishops is a good band name.

Hmm. Lose some piety or let Stefan's loving wife who has borne him many devoted and highly capable children as well as served as an able chancellor for years die horribly in a fire?

ScreenSave111.jpg

I pick the pious choice!

ScreenSave112.jpg

Which of course includes marrying a Sardinian chick nearly a decade her junior immediately afterwards!

ScreenSave113.jpg

While getting tons of money from it at the same time!

ScreenSave114.jpg

And the replacement Chancelloress is the Russian I married Hermann the ex-bastard to for that very purpose.

ScreenSave115.jpg

And what is the spreading of romantic poetry good for? Spreading the legs of your newly-wed teenaged wife of course! And with that I lose my last female reader. Not that any female would have the enjoyment of brutal conquest and knowledge of the Machiavellian political realities of Europe in the Middle Ages that is necessary to enjoy a game such as Crusader Kings in the first place. Their brains are too small for that! Okay, now I really lost my last female reader.

ScreenSave117.jpg

And with the taking of my enemy's only province comes demanding everything the enemy has to offer, including their last three ducats that they must have been hiding in a sock somewhere.

ScreenSave118.jpg

And they accept. Akershus is ours!

ScreenSave120.jpg

And a I look through the options to appoint the next bishop I stumble across something AWESOME!

ScreenSave121.jpg

Now I can finally have an undead bishop of my own! I always wanted to have one, and now my dreams came true!

One of my dreams finally came true! Does that... Does that mean that some of my other dreams will start coming true as well? Will I no longer have to go to sleep sobbing into my sheets every night, caressing my pillow gently while pretending that it is her soft, taut, and perfect body, and dreaming of stroking her beautiful pale golden locks as we whisper our eternal devotion for each other in each other's ears? Not that I ever do such things, no. Never. Certainly not every night for the past two years just whatever would give you that idea? In fact I am quite offended that any of you would even think this. The answer will be revealed in the next exciting episode of Real Men Do It Alphabetically, an AARgau!

anonymous4401 has slept Alba and is proceeding through the alphabet til he sleeps with Zeta-Jones?

And an undead bishop is slightly disturbing. Can they be appointed to their own fiefs and rule eternally?

Can there be any romantic poetry about Undead Bishops? I can't believe that the game calls poetry a "New Technology". :D

It would constitute a technology only when applied to females as you wittingly noted before.

Real Men Don't Need Poetry, Just Money, Power And Piety.

Real Men Don't Have Female Readers, Nor Are They Pathetic... :D

Now it's Al time. Stefan grieves like a real man.
