Our armies land at Tyrus to face the Acreage army head-on in the field of battle
Three weeks later, victory is had, and the alphabetical armies march on to Acre.
Upon reaching Acre they rout the demoralized fleeing remnants of the Sheikdom of Acre's army and begin sieging the province. Seeing that there is no hope, Da'ud makes a tempting offer. It is declined, as no amount of gold could be worth not capturing the next province on the list!
The Sheikdom of Acre tries again to do battle with us, this time even more outnumbered and outmatched! I say let them, as our victory is assured, and nothing bad could-
Well, then.
Nooooooooo...
C'mon, look at that casualty ratio! Does that look like the work of an incompetent general?
And Acre is, indeed, ours.
I see that Da'ud lives by the philosophy of if a religious enemy sails down their armies to your lands, kills all of your soldiers in a quick succession of battles, and annex your lands entirely despite offering them more gold your province will generate in twenty years, all because the name of the lands you rule over happen to be pretty high up on a list somewhere, and due to that fact they will not be continuing their war against your liege but instead try to bargain their way out of it as fast as they can, join 'em.
How nice to see Acre fall so quickly by the sword. Nice to see that the Aargauans have the fighting spirit! Just ignore the fact that the soldiers in the regiments are Greek Abydosans and Abkhazians. But the fight is far from over as the Emirate of Jerusalem, not to mention the Kingdom of Fatimids, are still at war with us! Will it be that our armies triumph over theirs, despite the house rules saying that we'd have to do that without actually taking any provinces, or will we be pushed back to lose our most recent gain, humiliating us and setting us back decades? Everything changes in the next exciting episode of Real Men Do It Alphabetically, an AARgau!

Some Spamiards say that, when one is luck, that fellow has a flower in that lower part of the body that begins where the back ends. Yeah, the part you use to sit and some people to think.
Are you still following me? I hope so.
Well, after reading this, I must say you have not a single flower in that part of your body, but a whole garden.![]()

If Da'ud had thought more about military tactics than his rather complicated philosophy, Acre would never fallen into your grubby little hands. But then again, the sword is mightier then the pen.

Stefan was abviously caught napping, considering all that money, when Da'ud attacked.
Good luck in persuading the Emirate of Jerusalem and the Fatimids to make a quick peace. You've enough soldiers to run amok until they offer lots of money to make you go away. Say, who does own Adana?
Da'ud is a blessed masochist, he and Stefan will get along marvelously. Only a few hundred provinces to go..
So, uh, what happens if you lose Acre? Do you have to capture it again to continue on your mad, mad quest?
Well, he said annex, not own. So I guess he tell the inhabitants to bugger off, and flee-, ahem, advance to his home, while screaming like a gi-, yelling fearsome war cries.Originally Posted by phargle

Abauj was taken by inheritance. Abkhazia was taken after a war with a weak religious enemy whose remaining provinces after its capture were poor and quite far away. Abydos and Achaia were taken by very quick narrow-window wars of opportunity. But Acre is different, as the fight doesn't end with the taking of the province. In fact, there's even a possibilty that we lose the province in the face of a Muslim counterattack! It's something that has never been faced before, and as such there are no protocols in place in regards to the list of alphabetical provinces that start off the first update of each new chapter. Really, what do we do? Color it red? Unbold it? But even if we used red or whatever it would not affect the average color of the list much at all, considering that the colored provinces are so, so far outnumbered. Speaking of which

And before we move on to Adana let's see whether or not we lose Acre and continue looking at the war:
As word of our military might spreads, Fatimid vassals start offering peace! Hopefully their liege will be as pliant.
And Stefan rejoices as his very old wife dies at the age of seventy, which in medieval times is roughly equivalent to our hundred and seventy.
The army moves on to Tyrus, being very careful not to tread on any eggshells, lest it result in the capture of the unwanted province.
Insta-victories happen as the weakened armies of the Fatimids fall to Christian sword, led by the former shiek of Acre Da'ud al-Jabir. Yes the very same Da'ud that is serving in my court now. Maybe that's why they lose so bad.
I don't know and I don't care. More victories means more warscore.
Which is helpful at the negotiating table.
Aziz! Peace! Thank you, Aziz.
And now we look at Adana. Well, here it is. Located in the part of Asia Minor that looks like an armpit.
It is ruled by Jawdat Abbasid, an unremarkable child of the Abbasid dynasty, which rules the Emirate of Abbasid
Which is part of the... Sultanate of Seljuk Turks... which is... big and... big... large...
