And the stunning conclusion to last week's cliffhanger: We won!
But winning was not enough, as Prince Laskaris steals our siege! What a bastard! (This joke would have worked better if he indeed were a bastard, which is a characteristic that is modeled in Crusader Kings)
Silly Abydos. It is not your leprechaun's gold we want. (This joke would have worked better if Ireland, which is also in Crusader Kings, contained Abydos, which it doesn't.)
It's your land, which I am demanding with 1/43rds of the warscore needed to reasonably do so! (This joke would have worked better if... Okay maybe not)

Bad news comes in pairs. The Emperor himself steals the siege of Abydos, and thieves form a guild in my richest province...

And some bad. Byzantium did take the siege of Abydos and Abydos is now controlled by the Emperor. However, being the day this happened, a peace has not been settled yet. Desperately clinging to hope, I offer the peace to Abydos again. But what are the odds-

I think if someone's demesne is totally occupied, he's forced to accept any peace treaties he's offered, regardless of who they're from.

It was the choice between becoming the property of the Emperor or joining the wacky trek around Europe promised by the Habsburgs. Mention must be made of the sympathy, in Abydos, for the revolt and Thieves guild formation

Seems Anon has all the luck, I don't he'll ever complete the list (it would require a lot of patience and some tempering with the game mechanics.... then again he just might do it... nah..) but he'll go a long way

No just read the above posts. Apparently it's a gameplay feature, and I indeed lost quite a bit of prestige from it.
