This is the province of Amisos. It's Greek and has a Medium Castle.
This is the ruler of the independent Principality of Athenai, one of the strongest former Byzantine vassals. For decades I watched them hoping that they'd readmit themselves back into the fold, giving the Byzantines a much-needed boost against those Seljuks!
Well time to claim. Fun fact: The first time I tried this I claimed Atheniai, then kept getting confused when every time I negotiated for peace with Hellas I'd end up with Atheniai.
And the whole badboy thing is hurting my loyalty, so I guess I'm due for a change to the polar opposite realm law.
I don't particularly want Amiens and my goal is to get 900 piety so that I can lose a whole 1 BB per year!
The plan was simple.
Really look at it. It's pretty simple.
Rooting through the event files, I discovered that if you have vassals in the Middle East but your capital is in Europe, you get a nice little event where said vassals split off despite the fact that they are single-province counties consisting of base-0.60 economies of sand and Arabs. So I take the reputation hit to move back.
The siege took two and a half months thanks to that damn castle.
And they accept for the obvious settlement.
It's highly unlikely Amisos is pronounced like that but there's no other provinces that fit and I've been waiting since Achaia so shut up. And if you must know, the update in which the province of Gent is taken will be called Gent: The Musical. All will be revealed and the fate of the realm decided in the next climactic episode of Real Men Do It Alphabetically, an AARgau!

Fortunately Berengar has no son and with depression is likely to not have any so when he dies a non-descendant-of-Hermann-von-Habsburg will inherit TAKE THAT YOU CHEEKY BASTARD (literally (also you are dead so you won't hear this anyway (but as a fictional character in a computer game you wouldn't have even if you were 'alive')))
And look I'm moving my troops to Amman haha except that the Al Mafraq regiment is left out because the WOMAN that is in charge of the province is not LOYAL enough!

Hey how did the regiments of Achaia, Agrigento, and Al Alamayn get to Italy? Well maybe they walked there while I was besieging Amisos! Ever think of that? And look I give the province of Aleppo to a guy named Peter Kentares! Who is Peter Kentares? Well maybe you'd know if you had access to my cache of screenshots that I took but did not upload! But you don't so you don't know that this guy just randomly popped in my court within the last game year! And I'm not going to even say WHY I released Aleppo it should be obvious!!!
Good thing I moved that leaderless regiment to Acre so it can be part of the siege in Amman so that I can send the other regiments away just in time for it to take it by itself so it will fall into my demesne perhaps I planned the whole thing that way in advance??

And so with this victory of my Scandinavian + Amiens regiments over the tiny regiments of the poor provinces of northern Sweden there is nothing stopping me from having a completely uneventful siege that I will not have to describe.
So I'll just skip to obtaining Ångermanland.
