Well, this is quite impressive. It appears that Americans would fight for their freedom. Are you preparing for some kind of rebellion or an uprising maybe? I think it would be a nice idea to teach the US where their place in your world is. And the South American nations could try to achieve some more liberty. Well, we shall see if your movement was a good one.

Epilogue

There's no empires that never ends

After Venice reached it's objective, she had no external threats, but the internal pressure in the ocuppied lands, with pretty different cultures and religions within the same country, was a constant source of instability.

The following history seeks to adjust the world to its reality in 1800.

Ravenge from the muslims

The main problem of the Republic was to hold the east. The turkish vassal recently converted to islamism and in pratical stopped being a venetian vassal. With a lot of work to do, the government did nothing on this issue and soon a huge uprising from the muslims against the empire took place.

The mameluks and persians, all seing the oportunity, joined the muslims cause and pax romana was broken in the middle east. The islamic rebels in north africa were also a great trouble to the republic, that after some time lost its influence there.

When the janissaries and mameluks arrived in Constantinople, they found little resistance and took the city and changed its name to Istambul. They even advanced into Greece and the Balcans, and declared a new islamic empire with capital in Istambul that included most of the balcans, Greece and the Mameluks. At this time, they gave support to the persians and algerians rebels, and they eventually got the full liberty from the republic to its countries.

From dominated to dominators (western europe)

The french and the english never truly accepted the venetian domination. But with a new leader, Napoleon, and the oportunity of the crisis in venetian east, France became a independent, united and powerfull nation under comand of a great emperor and fantastic military leader.

This leader's activity soon expanded outside France and he took all that venice conquered in Germany. The north german states recognised France as more dangerous than Venice, Poland and Bohemia. So they united under the Prussian flag to defend its land. Their army proved so efficient, that their once dominant Poland-Bohemia became oppressed by Prussia. The alliance with the new nation of England and Austria gave the oportunity to the German unification, after the napoleonic empire fell.

Napoleon cut the access of Venice to Britain, and soon the English not only expeled the venetians from the island but united it. In a pretty little time they built the strongest navy in the world, and Venice began to gradually lost its overseas influence to England. Without support from europe, United States declared independence and venice couldn't do anything to avoid it.

The germans were better organizated than the venetians and have a great international support because Venice was truly hated in the world. So with support of almost every neighbooring kingdoms, Austria became independent and had enough power to even take Hungary from Poland, and start a strugle with Turkey for the balkans, (that's how Venice lost all its slavonic provinces) while joining the anti-french world coalization (that paradoxically included Venice).

Napoleon expeled the venetians from Spain and restaurated the spanish kingdom and its new-world domains. At the same time England restaurated the portuguese kingdom.

Only Italy are still in hands of Venice, but...

Internal Pressure in Italy

The Catholics in the whole world were indignated by venetian ocupation of Vatican. As a catholic nation, Venice had no altenative but to create the State of Vatican in a part of Rome and abandon its pretensions to be the center of the Roman Catholic Apostholic church.

But this wasn't sufficient to avoid the oppresed italians and one by one cities rebelled against venetian rule. Genoa, Milan, Pisa, Florence, Padua, Rome, Naples and Taranto rebelled violently. Eventually the kingdom of Piemonte and the Kingdom of Two Sicilies declared indepence, and a bloody war beetween various factions took place. The pope chose neutrality, and after decades an Italian nationalists faction, leaded by the famous mercenary Giuseppe Garibaldi, managed proclaim of the Kingdom of Italy with capital in Rome. In this process, San Marino, Monaco and Vatican stood out of the bloodshed and achieved independence.

Outside Europe

Napoleon also tried to battle in the new world, and although England was the great winner here, they had some victories.

England couldn't make a complete cultural domination in north america and their plans on conquering United States failed. Quebec got french culture but was incorporated in the vassal (of England) republic of Canada. The french also won in Louisiana, and then sold it to the growing United States.

The spanish conquered Mexico, which they used as base to conquer Maya. But because english help, Mexico became an independent republic. The same happened in Colombia (taken from China and then expanded in Inca and then got independent), and similar histories in all spanish latin america, that ended with spanish culture. The portuguese latin america never lost its portuguese cultural domination.

With the war in Italy and the whole europe, after some time italian imigrants and other european imigrants flock to the independent american nations.

Due to its submission to England, Portugal was allowed to maintain some colonies in Africa. After Italy and Germany got united, they started to compete for colonies in this continent.

The muslim countries got united but not as powefull as the new european countries, and soon they became also a target for the thirsty european conquerors. In the muslim mediterranean only Turkey was considered a strong (but getting weaker) country.

England conquered India, China, Australia and New Zealand.

THE END

Congratulations on completing it. Well done.
