Dogger, southwest 4, rising, poor, becoming moderate. Cromarty, northeast 9, falling, fair, veering west, severe gale 9 to violent storm 11. Rain, then squally showers.

That was the shipping forecast. In half an hour we have the Empire Programme. This is the BBC. Now it is time for the 12 o' clock news.

Good evening. Fighting continues in Easter Europe. French forces have helped push back the Bolsheviks, with morale among the former prisoners of war who form the detachment said to be high.

11:00

Swedish troops have reported the capture of Kosice. This has been confirmed by observers from the 6th Light Dragoons.

13:00 July 24th, 1945

There have been reports of increased Bolshevik presence in the centre and south of the frontlines. Progress in the centre was halted due to overwhelming numbers a statement from the Baltic Republic's Ministry of Love revealed. They also mentioned a successful holding action in the south. This has yet to be confirmed by Allied High Command.

July 25th, 1945

The people of Czechoslovakia were celebrating today as their country became free from the Bolshevik influence. An interim military government has been put in place by the Baltic Republic. The Prime Minister expressed his desire to see a free Czech people join the struggle against Bolshevism.

Fighting is still being reported in the south of the country, however this is not expected to last long.

In Siam, General Percieval has confirmed his decision to form the 34th Bicycle Corps..

Why, I'd never doubt the BBC news. We have millions of men, we've taken Moscow twice already but gave it back in the name of fairness and we are allied to trillions of nations. I see no flaws there. And why would they lie to us?

Great update! I doubt it will be long now before the Russians break. I notice also that your belligerence in that pic of annexing Czechoslovakia was 118! Pretty high for a democracy.

The Soviets will poo themselves at the sight of the Bicycle Corps, I'm sure. I think it's called 'The Bear's Disease', If I recall.

It wouldn't differ from normal troops. There were bicycle corps in Finland during Winter War at least. They were called that because they used bicycles for transportation, during battle they naturally discarded the bikes

I'm off to Vienna on Monday! (Part 1)

July 25th, 1945 - August 1st, 1945

16:00 July 25th, 1945 - 04:00 July 26th, 1945

Radom is attacked - at first it looks like we can hold on, but the odds rapidly go against us.

We decide to try and cause a nuisance down south to divert the a.i.

06:00 July 27th, 1945 - 08:00 July 28th, 1945

However, the Soviets have other ideas clearly!

04:00 July 29th, 1945

Radom falls. And it can only get worse.

10:00

For example: large Soviet forces attacking our advance troops.

06:00 July 30th, 1945

With predictable results.

14:00

Back in Radom, we blow a Soviet division to pieces. A small victory.

August 1st

Europe. It's a disaster.

The Far East - it's a mess.

Although in the Phillipines, The UK seems to be doing something. Which is really useful as Europe gets overrun.

More pressure in the south.

Another major disaster. Heads will roll for sure. And why can't I have this a.i on my side eh?

Over in the west, the troops in Stryj are defeated...

.. Bratislava falls...

.. and we advance into Radom which is now empty.

Presov is gone now. There is something wrong with our tanks today.

And Kosice as well. We are in danger of being cut off! Oops!

16:00 August 6th, 1945

We arrive in Radom - and get mugged.

00:00 August 7th, 1945

Unsurprisingly we are swiftly ejected from Radom.

The noose tightens on the Republic.

Our forces threatening the Soviet flank is attacked. Why did the a.i choose now to not be stupid eh?

However, our troops are better trained, better motivated and better led! Huzzah!

Radom falls. Again.

Unbeknownst to you, I had withdrawn the armour units from Grodno (replaced with infantry) to conduct some secret operations elsewhere. However, this is obvious to the a.i. it seems!

So we desperately try to spoil this..

We foil one attack.

But not here...

... or here! Hmmm.

05:00 August 14th, 1945

It is down to the troops in Grodno to hold on alone. Tense hours pass - but then the news comes in: we have won. But at what cost? All the troops along the line are exhausted, several formations have been shattered. If (when?) the Soviets try again, the outcome could be very different.

Lastly, some tech.. should hopefully help with manpower issues. I seem to be leaking men like a sieve.

Philippines? More like Indonesia... Anyway, what the hell are thse Swedish divisions doing in the middle of Germany? They'd be quite useful in Poland!

3. The AI actually fights you (although attacking on land is what the AI does best - if I am permitted to call something it does "best")!
