Koiné (1066 Roman Empire and beyond)
Greetings,
I'm going to start my first AAR, based on an Roman Empire MOD I'm adapting with many modifications. It'll come slowly in, when i get time to create them.
Feel free to give your opinion and/or advices.
To begin with i have uploaded a few info:
Crusader Kings
Version 1.05 (English)
1066 Scenario
with
Leaders of Roman Empire 1066 MOD Scenario
and parts of SMACK and others mods/events I fear I'm no more able to identify for acknowledgment
Why Koiné?
Koiné Greek (Κοινή Ἑλληνική), a Greek dialect that developed from the Attic dialect (of Athens) and became the spoken language of Greece at the time of the Empire of Alexander the Great. It became the lingua franca of the Roman Empire. The Koine was the original language of the New Testament, of the writings of the early Christian Church Fathers. So it is likely the the common language of the Byzantine Empire and in general the Word SUMMA of this era.
There are all 5 religions in the Empire: Catholic, Orthodox, Muslim, Pagan and Jewish.
Hierarchical order(for roleplaying purpose)
Empire
Empire - Emperor
Diocese* - Consul
Province - Governor
Prefectura - Prefectus
Empire Federats
[Kingdom] - [King] --- for external barbarians only
Duchy - Duke (and other religions equivalent)
County - Count (and other religions equivalent)
Empire eclesiastic holdings (B)
Papal State - Pope (in Rome)
Bishop....etc....
Starting Provinces Religion and Cultures*
*byzantine is used as Roman culture, its culture's sprite has been edited toward a more Roman Legionaire look.
