    After a little exploration of the Narrative Provinces of AARland, and given my personal bias for the 20th century and all its drama, I think the Character Writer award should go to someone whose main chawactew we gwudingly hail as a statesman for all seasons :

    Le Jones, for the King's First Minister (and for turning Lowd Halifax into a new Erich von Stroheim, the man we love to hate)
