    Czechoslovakia AAR

    "Rules":
    N/N
    some modifications:
USA have full industry even without being at war.
    DAIM installed.
    Shorter upgrade time.
    Air stack limits increased.
Also wants you to know that this is version 1.2 since I cannot patch my game

Summer 1936. Polish extremists infiltrated the Czechoslovakian government, and the entire government were taken hostage. After several days of negotiations without results, the government were executed, and a new government were elected, influenced by german "ideas". Still, there was no hate against Poland. Poland felt threatened by their new national socialist neighbour, and influenced the new Czech government enough to allow a pact to be formed, with Poland as leaders. Later that summer, Czechoslovakia declared war on Austria, which was necessary in order to "maintain security in the region". After a few days of fighting, Germany and Italy declared war on Czechoslovakia. Poland and Czechoslovakia entered an full alliance. The weak austrian infantry couldn't stop the heavily armored Czech tanks, and they eventually accepted peace with Czhechoslovakia, leaving them with three provinces left. The czechs didn't wanted Italy to be able to attack from the south, so they let Austria keep their two provinces bordering to Italy. Polish infantry had soon taken over entire northern Germany, while Czech troops marched towards the western parts of Germany.

Germany surrendered on July 22nd, only a few weeks after war began.
After seeing the german empire overrun with Polish and Czech troops, Italy offered a white peace which was accepted by Czechoslovakia and Poland.

The Polish-Chezh alliance after the annexation of Germany.

    Chezh government, and politics.

On october 18th, war was declared upon hungary, once again to maintain security, since Hungary had close relations to Germany.
Austria later violated the peace treaty, hoping to be able to reclaim their lost territory with Hungary's help.

hungary was annexed on october 30th, after a short war.

Austria is going down. Hard. This time no mercy will be shown.
As you can see, Soviet Union declared war upon Japan.

Austria was annexed, only about a week after the annexation of Hungary

After the fall of Austria, the french cowards declared war on Poland! Czhech infantry marched towards the border in order to prevent a french invasion.
After a few unsuccessful battles with the french, war was declared on Switzerland. The czechs hoped to be able to attack into the south, and not through the Maginot line. Switzerland accepted peace, and were only allowed to keep their capitol of Bern.
War was also declared on Luxemburg, and they were annexed later on the same day. Peace was concluded with the British and the French, since they, after all, were guaranteeing the independence of Czechoslovakia.
The Polish-Czech alliance instead moved their forces towards the border to Soviet, and later declared war on them, since they were busy dealing with Japan.

Japan declared war on China, and eventually lost control of Manchukuo since they couldn't withstand both Soviet and chinese troops. Instead, they sent a request to join the Polish-Chezh alliance. The power-hungry european alliance agreed, and were now at war with China.

Japan is doing good, considering they are fighting the world's two biggest armies.

In mid-november, inhabitants of Leningrad got an unexpected surprise, japanese troops invaded the important Soviet city, and took control of several nearby provinces as well.

The Soviet borderguards couldn't stop the polish infantry and the czech tanks, they crushed all resistance, but were eventually slowed down by rivers and the large front. There wasn't enough soldiers to keep marching eastwards. The Soviets offered peace, and the Polish got control of large parts of western Soviet Union. Japan and SU were still at war.

Meanwhile, the Spanish civil war broke out, and the nationalists were looking good.

Communist China offered peace when they heard news from their comrades in Moscow. The proposal was accepted.

Only a few days later, Shanxi offered peace as well. We accepted, in hope of making life a little easier for the japanese forces in Korea and northeastern China.

    This is interesting...
After Czechoslovakia declared war on Romania, hoping to reach the Black sea, a huge war broke out!
Italy, Greece, yugoslavia, and Turkey declared war on Czechoslovakia, in order to protect the romanians, and the Czechs were forced to retreat from southern Hungary.
Italian forced crossed the border and took control of several ex-austrian provinces before they could be stopped and forced to retreat.
Romanian infantry couldn't fight back the tanks of Czechoslovakia, and the Polish troops easily marched through Moldova and the eastern parts of Romania, forcing Romania to surrender.

Romania were allowed to keep some provinces, as long as they gave the Chezhs control of, and access to Tulcea.
Yugoslavian troops overwhelmed the Czech borderguards, and captured parts of Hungary.

Two months later, Italy were losing, and Yugoslavia were annexed after bravely resisting the invasion.

Greece offered peace after losing control of parts of the mainland. Accepted.

As you can see, the italians weren't as smart as Greece... Czech infantry recieved orders to keep fighting, and eventually Italy accepted peace, giving Czechoslovakia control of all italian mainland provinces except for Rome, Potenza, and Catania.

War was later declared on Bulgaria, as it was necessary in order to launch and offensive on Turkey.
Bulgarian troops were tougher than expected, and tanks were sent in. The Czechs annexed Bulgaria, and began focusing on Turkey.

The situation for our japanese allies.

Turkey is offering peace... a tempting offer, but it was declined. The czechs was hoping to be able to annex them, and thereby didn't wanted peace.

In mid-november, the greeks broke their peace by letting turkish troops walk into Czech territory from Greece. We prepared our troops for an attack on Greece. Meanwhile, the turks again offered peace. And (since our troops had enormous problems with proceeding into turkish territory) , this time we accepted their offer...

... Just to find out that we were still at war! It was decided that it was Greece's time to pay the price for their stupidity! Of course they sent us a ridiculous peace offer. Declined.

A last offer was sent to Greece, either they give Czechoslovakia total control of all their territory, except Athens, and allow our troops to pass through Athens, or they will be annexed. They accepted our offer, and the war ended. Turkey also decided to lay down weapons, since Greece and Turkey were allied.

In the beginning of 1939, it was decided that a new minister of security was needed. The job was given to Johann Schwerin von Krosigk.
A submarine development program was started, with help from the japanese , and there will hopefully be a proud czech navy by the end of the year.

Poland decided to give control of Kassel, Münster and Wilhelmshafen to Czechoslovakia, giving Czechoslovakia a port in the north. 18 Czech submarines are under construction, as well as 5 land forts in all provinces bordering to France, Belgium and Netherlands (except for Münster and Wilhelmshafen). Czech and polish generals began planning for an offense against Finland and Spain. Spies have reported that northwestern Spain is crowded with military, and perhaps this is the best opportunity to attack them. But, the Czech army is widely spread across Europe, and transport ships are needed.

    To be continued... (hopefully )

I actually wrote this a few days ago, and today I reinstalled the game (but I kept the savefile) and updated to 1.3a or 1.3b, not sure... I'll see if it works, or I will reinstall it again. Because of this I can't give you any exact numbers, but I can say that I have no aircrafts, no navy (atm, 18 submarines are being built), about 40 1939 divisions and 8-12 tanks.

    Yay ^^
    It works

Here are some information on the armies... seems I have less troops than I said earlier

    Soviet has got 184 divisions

just noticed that the navy and aircraft pics have no information on what kind of unit that are being calculated. Might update with new pictures later, but as you can see I haven't got anything anyway

Hmm...you seem to have small pockets of other nations in your empire. Like Italy has territories that are like miles away from thier capital and surrounded by you. Just kinda looks weird on the map. KUTGW though.

well, that's true. When I was fighting Romania, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey at the same time, it was simply too much, so when Romania offered peace I accepted without really looking into it. Almost same when I got peace with Italy, I missed 1 province on the mainland when I sent them my peace proposal. I didn't wanted to have their colonies either, since I have no transports or convoys so I felt it would be a waste. I couldn't demand Rome so I had to let them keep Rome. The other province that they were allowed to keep in Italy were of no use anyway, no resources or IC.
When I was fighting Greece there was another problem:
As I have no transports (yet) I couldn't reach Crete and take the last victory point needed, so I proposed a peace where I was given all their provinces and they gave me military access instead
Switzerland couldn't be annexed either, I simply didn't have enough troops to defeat them, and since I was at war with France there were other things to do than killing off Switzerland.
Might look a little strange (especially Romania) but that's how it goes
And there are still lots of time to... err, deal with this "problem"

Thanks btw for reading and giving your thoughts and support, it makes it even funnier to keep playing ^^

so true. Turkey is a real pain to attack. however, you did get a really nice foothold in Turkey.

are you gonna build anything besides transport ships and subs for your navy?

    Earth's Savior and Ghostwriter:
I am building a small navy atm, mainly submarines to begin with, I will add transports after my submarines are finished. After that... I'm not really sure, more infantry is needed as well. But, since I haven't got many threatening neighbours (France, Romania and Turkey) maybe building a navy should come first. Perhaps trade some blueprints from Japan and build some BB's... I haven't decided yet

that's one hell of a czechoslovakia!!!
btw, it's the first time I ever see a human player accepting a peace proposal that before annexing the whole nation, was that because of crete?

In Greece's case, it was because of Crete. I knew it would take a hell of time to build transports, then capture Crete and in the same time watch out for turkish navy, so I accepted peace, then declared war again as they turkish troops cross the border (from Greece to Czechoslovakia) even while we were at peace. After beating them once more, I demanded all their provinces, but let them keep Athens, so they are not annexed... yet
I've been having various problems with certain nations, so I simply haven't been able to annex them all, but I'm working on it

    Looks gooood!

But be aware in 1.3b, garisons will consume tons of yr MP, because partisans ARE an issue under this patch. Ungarisoned Hungary gave me 25% partisans in each province and it is not dropping, but rising. If not carefully watched, yr TC goes hell in a very short time...

    Good luck under new patch
