Kurt_Steiner - Sorry Kurtie, but flying dreadnoughts and insanely detailed tech porn just don't mix. Not if you want to use the normal laws of physics anyway.

Reality is overrated, if you ask me.

So if it gets shot down, does that mean everyone aboard is automatically dead? If so, that would be quite the flaw with flying battleships.

Indeed :D Unless you begin to produce parachutes in a massive way.

And to whom would flying battleships belong? The Navy or the Air Force?

Getting out of topic, perhaps?

JudgeKing - Top flying battleship action I'll give you that.

Nathan Madien - I think the biggest flaw is the lack of anything underneath bar hull. Personally I would sit under the keel in a biplane hurling rocks at it until I sunk it, just for the maximum shame impact.

Kurt_Steiner - Thanks for taking the top of the page Kurty, I was worried I would have to update but luckily you've solved that problem for me. :D

Darn it Kurty! Why did you have to absolve El Pip?

In any event, I'm interested to see how the situation in Rhodesia is developing, will Roy Welensky be showing up?

It would be more impressive if we got an update. Still 11 more posts to the bottom of the page.

Is there something that we are meant to be voting on? Bolivian tanks? The orange juice futures market during the Spanish Civil War? I forget.

In any event, I am sure that it is nothing that a good Christies suspension can't fix.

I'm voting for airframe pron, and if possible, British politics.

Not British politics pron though, thankyouverymuch, John Profumo can keep his hands to himself, I hope.

RobbieAB - I like the way you think. ;)

H.Appleby - Spookily I have been looking at Rhodesia and doing a bit of background research into it, of course it's not going to make it into the next update but maybe the one after that.

As for Welensky, while he is a very interesting fellow I think it's a little early for him to make an appearance. Plus of course with federation having occurred far earlier would he even come to prominence?

Kurt_Steiner - A likely story Kurty. I believe you, but millions wouldn't.

Jape - I am very lucky to have such cultured readers who appreciate that, much like a fine whisky, Butterfly cannot be rushed.

MC Hammer - The estimated completion date of this is somewhere in the 2030s I believe, it's been a while since I last checked.

Davout - Voting wise there is a post World Cup Air Travel vote still open. Your choices are an aero-focused Spanish Civil War update or South American conflicts rooted in 18th Century Spain's inability to properly draw maps. At last count the tallies were;

The Planes in Spain - 14
The Edge of Reason in South America - 16

Duritz - Old Hands are always welcome back here. Nice Communist Kangaroo avatar. ;)

TheExecuter - Then I don't think I can help you at present, though I suppose some ships might be present in South America I fear you may be disappointed with them.

H.Appleby - However your choice is simple. ;)

I may end up including Profumo, by all accounts he was a damned good armoured officer during the war and Hobbo is always looking for new tankers for the ever expanding Royal Armoured Corps.

As you all have probably guessed I've got entirely distracted by side issues, some of which may well feature in the coming update. However there is good news, I've decided to cut the current update in two so it may well be out this month. I'd say sooner but honestly that would just be putting hope before experience.

Pippy! you magnificent old bar-steward... how are you doing old-chap?

Got to say I created an eBook of this and found it on my old desktop, got a bit nostalgic and decided to come back to the thread and what do I see? Updates! Splendid!

Luckily as I was only away for a couple of years I only had one or two updates to catch up on :D seriously though great to see this is still alive, I look forward to a jet air-liner delivering a combined Empire team to Argentina to take away the Jules Rimet for King and Country. Or some border war between two un-discovered amazonian tribes! Great stuff, pray continue.

Edit: Oh yes and I vote for rocketry porn... or if not that then: The planes in Spain fall mainly on the Plain, well apart from the British build ones ;)
