But, but, but he is a megomaniacal empire builder!

And giving people independence? How can such a man be considered a leader of the Horde?

And we deserve something special now, we waited 30 minutes to let you have post number 1000, when we could have greedly grabbed it ourself. :p

Nice, two updates to two AARs.

Good job annexing Khorsan ... and a very creative way too :D

Edit: Really nice 1000 posts congratulations

GrimPagan - I still have plenty of expansions in mind so I'm trying to watch my BB. Also a average province with no land connection and wrong culture and RR isn't too good. However I plan to get a land connection to it then diplo annex Iraq. Thanks for waiting, I was trying to write as fast as i could :p. I'm not sure what I can give that special though?

Iche_Bins - Two updates is better than studying for exams :D

Mmm...Salted Wool...

So, when is the war against Mongolia coming? :)

Great update here. I guess many merchants around the world come to the Horde's CoT's daily looking for exotic goods such as the salted wool. It is so rare that only a few people know how to make it, and they keep secret about their methods. Yes, everyone who acidentally knows about the salted wool formula is beheaded immediately by the Horde's overseers in the state manufactories.

Meanwhile, Biskra and his pioneers continue to discover new lands. This may be a good time to end strict government control over the economy, abolish tariffs, lower taxes while granting land for hardy tatars nobles and peasants to settle (i.e set the slider to free trade to receive more colonists ;)).

@GrimPagan: Have a Red Special Cookie ;)

And DoW, since you got an update as post 1000 in this thread, you get one, too :D

Congrats on 1007 posts. :D

Great update. And I was a bit worried bout Iraq but now I see your plans I agree. Do you have an msn by any chance?

wonderful update and the poisoning of diplomats is a sneaky way to gain territory. I'm not opposed to it, but it is pretty sneaky. Okay, how did you get those screens for the wool and salt? I've played EUII for years now and I've NEVER seen such a screen before. Did you make it up or is that actually something within the game that I've just never found?

Back home important diplomatic actions had been going on between Astrakhan and Samarkand. Yulbaris had sent many gifts to the Council of Khorasan. The gifts had contained much fine food. However a short while after giving the gift Yulbaris revealed that the food contained a slow working poison. The only antidote for it was in his posession and he delivered an ultimatum to the council. Join the Golden Horde and get the antidote or remain free and die. The council of Khorasan were full of patriotic spirit, but only so far as their necks weren't on the line. The ultimatum was accepted and Samarkand and Iraq became parts of the Horde.

My kind of diplomacy.

The Golden Horde sets up a peaceful Iraq

Talkingdonkey - I'm not too sure when the war will come. It must but at the moment I don't think theres a lot to be gained from it. I may wait until I've colonised up to it. But we'll see.

rsobota - The lack of colonists is a problem I only got .5 a year. I shifted to narrowminded during that update though and it increased the amount to .9 the shift to free trade only brought it up to .7 so I figured that was a better choice.

Specialist290 - Thanks I'll treasure it :D

billy bob - To be honest 1007 posts was the real number I was really looknig forward to getting. I think you deserve a Special cookie in Specialist290 agrees ;)

Amric - Thanks. Sneaky indeed but well suited to the Horde's ways. I've always found it hard to come up with reasons why a nation would accept annexation in real life. The screens are reached by clicking on the icon for the resource that appears in the province window.

Grundius - It's the real style of Horde diplomacy. I'm glad that you liked that :D

Vann the Red - He's not bad. Perhaps he can be given a position in the Golden Horde bringing the two nations together.

Well, congratulations on reaching 1000 posts, finding Mongolia, annexing Khorasan, but MOST OF ALL, on holding the world to ransom over the production of SALTED WOOL!!! I see a bright new future for the Horde - surely no-one can stop the Khans now? I'll bet those worthless Europeans are trembling in their ballet-shoes! :D

Of course he can.

billybob, here's your very own Red Special Cookie :D

Ah heck, anyone else who's posted in this AAR can have one, too, since I'm in a generous mood :D

EDIT: Speaking of things, DoW, somehow the Red Special Cookie in your sig links to the wrong post. I'll edit in the correct link in my other post, so you can just copy and paste it.

Hah, a much prettier looking map!

And belated congratulations on 4k

Salted wool! =D

Great update, anyway ;-)

Finally, I've been able to catch up with this after a week at the university. Astonishing job getting out of the war with the Ottomans with a three province gain. And getting that conquistador is a nice treat - finally being able to reach the Mongolian homelands.

And since there's a lot of people giving you advice in which direction to go next, here's my two cents: choose none, expand everywhere. Soon the Commonwealth of the Golden Horde shall rule the world. Where wealth comes from salted wool and the common thing is beheading heathens and dissenters. mwhahahahahahahahahaha *takesdeepbreath* hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
